Black Diamond Golf Club
About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

10th Green Photo submitted by jgolfd on 08/10/2016
Perfect Day
22 Deg., sunny and little wind. What more could you ask for? One of me and my wife's favorite courses with it's great scenery and the fact that you get two kinds of courses, links and traditional all in one challenging package. Course has greened up nicely and since they are now able to water the greens they are in good shape. Love the 10th. This time it got me but there's always a next time.
Great place to olay
New hole layout is greAt, challenges you on both nines, worth going to
Best shape I’ve seen it
I play diamond pretty frequently, Tuesday was my second lap around this year and I’m not sure I’ve seen it in better shape. It drains so well and the greens are in phenomenal shape. They’re wet enough that they’re receptive and holding shots well and still rolling beautifully and are relatively quick for the time of year. For $35 w/cart after 2ish it’s a no brainer. Like what they’ve done with the 3rd hole making it reachable for the bombers, 11 and 12 are still bad holes in my opinion but the rest would stand up on any course around. Well done BD!
Black Diamond never disappoints. The staff is incredible. The course was in great shape. It's always a positive experience!!
Beautiful Golf Course
Very scenic, and challenging. A wonderful way to spend a few hours. If you live in the east end of the GTA you must take advantage of this course. No better value anywhere in the GTA.
Great course great value
I have been playing Black Diamond since it first opened and it is still my favorite course in the area. It's mixture of link and wooded holes, combined with elevation changes makes for an extremely enjoyable round. Course always seems to be in great shape.
Greens in good condition.
First round year here this year and surprised how good the conditions were considering the late start to the season. Greens are greening up and pretty smooth to putt. Very few winter kill spots. Supposed to start at 2:04 but the tee sheet was open and we started early. Round in under 4 hours. Course should be perfect in a couple of weeks with some warm weather and a little rain.
Great game early in the season
Given that the course just opened it was in excellent condition. The setting is beautiful in the Hills South of Peterborough. Some of the holes are on the quirky side but overall it is a great golf experience.
One of the best courses around. Great twilight rates too.
Great course
Great course two totally different nines front links and back tight woodland
Good golf experience
Enjoyed my golf game as usual. The changes in the layout I really appreciated
Excellent value
I have played this course a few times and I have really enjoyed every round of golf
Too slow....
I played this course on a Saturday morning. As a single golfer I arrived early in hopes of getting out ahead of my tee time which I was told I would be able to do. I was one of the first at the course however the starter sent out a three some of members and then placed me with a two some.
Our group followed 4 groups of members and teed off just after 7am.
We ended up waiting on every tee and finished our round over 5.5hrs later.
Haven’t been back since.
My favourite course to play
This is a great course to play on beautifully kept, in the country and keeps you totally challenged with each hole. Never met anyone who did not enjoy playing here.
A Favorite Course
We place this course 2-3 times each year as it is one of our favorite courses in the area.
If you have not played since the course layout change a couple years ago, is now a must try again course.
I recommend this course and I play a lot of different courses over the year.
