Black Diamond Golf Club
About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

10th Green Photo submitted by jgolfd on 08/10/2016
Great course
The course was in good condition overall and it played relatively fast. It is a challenging course that test your ability with almost every club in your bag. Thankfully the course is somewhat forgiving which makes for a fun round of golf.
Great deal
The course on the whole was in great shape. Only complaint...the greens were quite slow and in slight need of repair....that could be from the drunk group ahead of us who marked up one green fairly badly.
Definitely will play there again!!!
First the Links then the Parkland
Excellent course. I travel from Toronto and it is always worth the drive. Beautiful ClubLink caliber course with a variety of holes that is rarely seen, the front nine being nearly pure links style, the back winding through the forest. Greens are subtle many times u will not see a break that is actually there hard where it has to be hard and safe where it has to be safe....an excellent course design
Golfing at Black Diamond
Played 2 rounds, 36 holes on Jul 7, 2014.
All well organized, friendly, professional staff. Good pace of game.
This course was very well maintaned
Best bang for your buck. Great course, loads of fun and very challenging
Great Day!
We played this course on a cold and windy day on the way to the cottage. The front nine is quite wide open and the back is more protected and out of the wind. We never had to wait - great pace. My husband who normally loses a lot of balls was amazed since he only lost one ball.
The course was in great shape!
2 Different nines
Had a great day. Great special price. Weather conditions were poor but course conditions were great. Bruce M
This course has some grat elevation changes that test your iron play.
Course was in good shape and has some interesting holes, however it took almost 5 hours to play. There were no marshalls present to speed up play.
Always A Pleasure
Played the course for first time last week and noticed big difference in condition this week as compared. Must have faired the tough winter well as fairways and greens were great. Back 9 much more difficult that the front.
Compared to other courses in the Peterborough area this is a must play as far as I am concerned. Only negative would be the $7.50 beer prices!!!
Great course fairways and greens
For this time of year perfect
shape Both fairways and greens in great shape just a few patches of winter kill
one of my favorites
very nice and well maintained long fairways, challenging, some narrow fairways, dog legs good variety. Would play again
Amazing
Considering we played in heavy winds and it's April 25th,2014 after a long winter the course was in great shape. The greens were pretty fast and smooth. Also the fairways were clear of any debris.
I can't wait to play this course once the temperature is warmer. I believe it's going to be amazing! I would recommend this course to anyone!
Worth the drive from mississauga
We had an awesome day. Great pace. Beautiful. Greeted by 10 wild turkeys on 13. My foursome replayed front nine in 1:10min, can't beat that.
Good well maintained and managed course.
ENJOYED THE COURSE AND THE DAY VERY MUCH. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COURSE TO OTHER PLAYERS. BACK NINE IS VERY CHALLANGING.
Great course
Great course, staff not so friendly!
Very challenging and fun, not for a high handicapper.
FANTASTIC
Fall golf at Black Diamond would be hard to beat someplace else. The many different colours of the surrounding trees add to the beauty of this course!! Club management on the back nine will save your pars!! Don't be greedy with the driver..
Beautiful scenery awsome conditions
Best value for the money hands down, very challenging greens make for an exciting round.
The course is one of two scenarios
I found the front nine to be difficult especially the super greens, played like a wellthought out golf course and enjoyed it immensly. The back nine was a different story, more like and obstacle course in endurance. Sloping fareways that even a badger would have dificulty with, some were 1 in 2 slopes, try stopping a roll on that. The pace of play slowed considerably and not a marshall in sight, methinks some only joined the back nine. Overall I will not return.
