About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Golfer Reviews
It is a must play.
I have had good experiences here. The last time I played on a burner deal and was disappointed to find it very slow. In fact I ended up walking off the course after 4 holes. Yes that slow. Would have been 6 hours. The started said it was moving well when I teed off. On a good note the front nine is very nice and has some distance to offer for the lower handicaps. Playing the back nine goes from wide open to the tightest, hilliest nine you will ever play. This is why I say it is a must play. You can play usually in 4.5 hours.
great layout
we have enjoyed playing at Black Diamond, the staff is always very receptive, friends have rave about this course because of the long fairways and tough greens. we will always recommend this course to our friends, sometimes i wish it was closer so we can play more often. i wish that there would be more courses within the Durham Ontario region, such as Watsons Glen, Glen Cedars, Heather Glen,Royal Ashburn.
