Just average
Overall I would rate much experience a C. The conditions of the course are rough and the cart paths really need to be repaved.
Unique course
The course is very challenging, from elevated tee boxes to holes with blind greens the course forces you to be creative in the way you play. You can be aggressive and risqué to cut down on strokes or you can play the course conservatively but expect a higher score. The course definitely has uniqueness to it, would play it again now I know what to expect, but playing it for the first time is challenging.
Nice course
First time out and this was a semi challenging course as I'm a new golfer. However, I golfed my best game, the staff were helpful and friendly, especially the Marshall!
Goid value
Booked on GN by myself and way better deal than the threesome I was paired with. They all will use GN from now on.
Very pretty and mature course in good shape when I played June 2019. A bit out of the way but GPS helps. Not an easy course to walk since its fairly hilly.
Only complaint is my gas power cart was awful. I had to use the choke nearly every time to get moving and even then, the cart would sit doing nothing for several seconds as the players behind us caught up. We enjoyed an embarrassing laugh nearly every hole. Perhaps some attention to the power carts is in order.
Using GN the value is terrific. I was $19 including tax and cart.....Very good deal and I'd go back.
The course itself has several challenging holes with lots of "dog legs" that require shot management. Not extensively long but certainly not short.
I'm an average golfer generally scoring between 90 and 105. I shot a 92 but in fairness, had some lucky bounces and played better than my usual.
Cheers and see you in the trees looking for my ball!!
no service
played the course 20 times last year 1st time this year service was poo rcouldnt get a sandwich and worst of all cart broke down no gas in tank never had these issues before course always goodl and another thing if you book it on golf now its walking rate and this course is immossible to walk never had this before either
Sunny and hot
Course was in good condition, pace was great. I only wish they had a beverage cart out, we could have used some beverages. But it was a great day out, we will be back.
Short but fun
This course was short but well laid out. Elevated greens and tee boxes added to the beauty and intrigue of this course. It was a great value and the staff were friendly.
Great Track
Golf Now hot deal, $18 including cart. Staff is great, fall golf hasn’t a great pace of play. Random single joined our twosome, made for a decent round. Relaxed atmosphere and a great course. If I could change one thing, it’d be to level the tee boxes.
Better than The Oaks
This is my favorite course in the Brantford area since the closure of Paris. It’s elevation changes make you really think about club selection. Greens are in great shape but are regularly left growing long which is my only peeve. Signature hole has to be #12 where a well played low iron or fairway wood at the green can mean an eagle putt attempt.
If Golf North decided to give it premium maintenance, this course could rival Grey Silo. Sadly, it’s amongst the lower tiered courses they run. BV is only a few minutes away from the Oaks of St. George. BV is as good or better than The Oaks and absent of their passive aggressive manager that makes you feel as welcome as a cold sore.
You get What you Pay for.
Booked course the day before on GN at a discounted rate. Despite the deal, it was a
most disappointing outing. The fairways have gone to quack grass and many of the tees were in similar condition. The par 3 tee boxes were very chewed up while the greens although in great shape were very slow. Of course, the cart paths are in horrendous condition (hard on one's back and behind) and the course's signage asks the golfer to stay on them and approach one's ball at 90. However, I noticed that many golfers were ignoring this. No beverage cart service, either.
Challenging elevations, stay on fairways or can be thick in 2nd cut. Played behind 2 gentlemen that were out to enjoy the day who kindly let me play through on the third hole. Thanks again gentlemen. Beautiful scenery and well worth the drive. Thanks Brant, although I didn’t play the best I had a great day.
Raining Day
Course was in good condition too bad it was raining on and off. Wish they had more staff on hand, no hot food was served. My buddies don’t mind playing there mind you need a map to get around, and it’s not a walking course.
