10th Hole Photo submitted by jgolfd on 08/10/2016
Fun course, slow play
Played with a few buds on a Sunday, enjoyable course and fun features, not too hard.
Rate of play was very poor on this day - not sure if it was one group causing a hangup or an overbooking of groupings for the day, but an 18 took over 5 and a half hours to complete. On average, we waiting almost 5-10 minutes before tee-off on each hole.
The conditions were pretty good, although some of the ground in the rough was rock hard, but I am unsure if this is due to the local topography.
Overall, a good experience and value, but if the rate of play is a recurring issue I would likely look over the course next time.
Gem of a course
Enjoy the day and play was a little slow as some players did not want to make a foursome.
Great Course.
This course is quite challenging, and well maintained. The greens are a bit fast, but easily read if you take your time. This is not a course for beginners, as they will impact the pace of play.
Good course but easy to lose balls
The course itself is on a pretty good shape but the club house is indeed needs a renovation. Pace could be slow, we played here three times and only one time we were able to finish within four hours (2 some). Course itself is quite challenging with lots of water and traps. But overall it a pretty good course to play on.
First timer
Overall a nice course. It was challenging. Greens really soft and many people do not repair there digits. Also golf carts have no rear cover to protect clubs if it rains. Some of the cart paths were scary as bridges over water appeared to be loose and falling apart. Course scenory was nice and many challenges due to water and bunker hazards. Easy to navigate as all signs and directions were clear. I really enjoyed this course and would return again. I played alone and completed course in 2.5hrs.
Would be better with some TLC
Play under 4 hours and nice course, tee boxes need to be levelled as very uneven, Carts paths need a update as broken and holes. Maybe good for ATV but not a golf cart someone is going to get hurt if not repaired.
Clubhouse not available on 9th hole unless you drive back, should have cart station there.
Fun course
It was a good day to play this course. The staff was friendly and the marshal moved the pace of play along I will play this course again for shure.
A fairly good course but no good if wet
Normally it is a fairly good golf course but if after rain, the course will be too wet to enjoy. The green is fair and so are the fairways. in some holes, the boundary between fairways and rough or first cut is not clear. The scenery is good. Some holes are pretty tight and surrounded with forest. I enjoy playing here if there is special rate.
Worth the trip.
Very playable but if you really want a challenge, go back a deck!
Enjoyed the round and using underpar made it worth the trip!
6 hour round
It was so slow . They pack too many people onto the course. As a result you lose your rythym. I will not book there again.
Nice. Course
Played at Maples several times using Underpar vouchers, have yet to have any issues doing a replay after the first round. Staff is great and friendly. Last round was a bust because of back log but it happens. Over all great course!
Excellent pace of play
After suffering 5hr plus rounds at many courses around the GTA this was a delight at 4 hours on a sunny Friday afternoon
Playing from the tips provides a great challenge compared to the whites.
The staff actually tell people to hurry up if they fall behind which is a huge plus.
valuable rounding
In spite of extremely hot weather, it was pleasure to play there. Not crowded, very relaxing course.
Painfully slow
Had a 930 tee off time and was >3 hrs to play 9!
To their credit they gave me a 9 hole raincheck when I asked but almost dreading using it!
Course was in good shape but the speed when you have a young family you need to get back to is painful.
