Royal Stouffville Golf Course

Some of the course suffered from very dry areas, but that seems to be the case with most golf courses in the area. Greens were green/plush and well kept, with exception to the 10th hole, which had many ball marks and spots. Approach shots stay where you land them, but some of the putts don't seem to read true. Overall a good course, with exceptionally friendly staff. Just don't let the sound of cows distract you on the 17th and 18th.

course was a very slow pace due to following a tourney. Were behind at most holes waiting for 2 or 3 groups to tee off. Ground was hard due to no rain all summer but thought course was in decent shape. Greens were good.

I would def come back to this course because it was a great layout and pace of play was great. Only thing this course needs to work on is making the tee box less dry as some holes were tough to put the tee in, but other than that beautiful course.

I left the course after playing 13th hole cuz It took me 4 hrs to play 13 holes; average waiting time at each hole was 5-10 minutes.

The only good thing about this course was friendly staff.

The course layout is ok. The tee boxes are in bad shape and the greens don't run true. The golf carts are very old gas powered carts that took forever to start... that was frustrating. We played for $45 including cart which is about all I would pay for this course. So for that money it was worth it otherwise I would never play there for regular rates.

We played late in the day, twilight, played just under 4hrs. didn't have to wait for group in front of us and group behind never caught up with us.

The course was in good shape overall, with the greens better than average. Unfortunately the tee blocks ground was so hard you needed a hammer to get the tee into the ground. The course was not very busy for our 4:00 pm tee time, so pace of play was not an issue. No amenities available for after the round which was unfortunate and beverage cart had last call two holes into our round, not good on a hot humid day!!

Would highly recommend you choose another course. Well over 5 hours with no sympathy from "ranger". Inadequate food and beverage options both on course and in club house post round. Not cheap either. With so many great courses in the area it is a wonder this course is still in business. In a world about customer service, in all industries, its like these people just didn't get the memo.

5 1/2 hour round of golf is unacceptable

The course itself was ok, but tee boxes were hard as rocks. Make sure you bring a lot of tees. They had also sold out of any sandwiches and didn't have a restaurant on site. Playing hungry is never fun.

Course is old, in fairly good shape.

Crowded on a Sunday for a noon tee off, had to wait on the tee past tee off time.

Restaurant and bar closed by new owners so don't plan on doing anything there after. Poor selection of sandwiches at pro shop, hence "bare bones".

Course itself is moderately challenging and all in all a good place to play if you are into the golf only and not the clubhouse/amenities.

Played on a Saturday afternoon. It was really slow paced. I suspect it's because they have a replay special. My buddy and I hooked up with a twosome doing a replay. Over 5 hour round. Greens were super slow. They were not burnt out or damaged. They just needed to be cut. Bunkers needed more sand. It was an odd experience as I had played this course about 2 years ago and about 5 times in total and I don't recall these issues. The layout is interesting and at times quite challenging. Some good holes that give you some pause for thought before shooting. I like the course and I would play it again to give it another chance. But I hope they address the above mentioned issues, particularly jamming the course with too many players. I should not be part of the spectators gallery on the tee box for the group ahead of me. Same thing when I was shooting. Otherwise a nice layout.

Always enjoy playing Maples. Good value and the course is in good shape

The course was very well kept and enjoyable to play. I would recommend this course and will return again to play.

$45 with cart. can't go wrong there. under new owner so bar and kitchen are close. great staff. will come back again.

first time playing there, was golf now deal, was quiet, very nice day out, would definetly play again

Nice course with a generous number of par 5s. The fairways are wide. There are a good number of water hazards and bunkers.The staff are very friendly.

Front nine lots of water, narrow fairway, some par 4 unreachable if weekend golfer, but lots of fun. I will back.

I have never met a starter who knew how to make sure you get off to a horrible start. My group was right on time but stopped in the facilities prior to tee off. Starter was telling me off about being a couple minutes late while rushing me without there being a group behind me. I'm not the greatest golfer but being pretty worked up helped me duff my first shot. If there were people waiting to tee off I understand. But if you're having a bad day and just wanting to ensure your patrons had a bad start to their game, then mission accomplished. I will not be returning to this club.

Haven't played this course in quite a while and now I know why.
They are sending out foursomes every 8 minutes with half of the groups walking. So guess what ? By the time you get to the 3rd tee- there is already two groups waiting to tee off in front.
After 6 holes we called the proshop to complain and to send a Marshall. Granted he showed up pretty quickly but he said he could do nothing and this is how it is on Sunday's that the club tries to jam as many golfers in as they can. Greedy!!
We left after 14 and noticed a few groups taking off at the turn at 9.
Was not enjoyable at all. Couldn't get any momentum waiting on every tee. We wouldn't go back again- on a Sunday or any day for that matter.
