Woodington Lake Golf Club - Legacy Course

Need to play this course with some brains

Not necessarily have to be long off blue positioning of drives makes the difference

I had golfed legends two day prior and it was a great track so I figured I would try legacy. It did not disappoint. Still some work to do( tractors on the fairwarway getting it ready) but absolutely beautiful. Every hole provided its own challenge as well as being playable for all skill levels. They had run out of yardage books on both courses which was a little disappointing. Alot of blind holes (hence the yardage book).When you come to the first dog leg right GO FOR THE GREEN AND CUT ACROSS THE MARSH!!. Will definitely play again. Nicest track I have golfed all season.

The course is a nice track and well maintained but suffers from a lack of course marshalls / starters to control the pace of play.

People turning up late we’re squeezed in pushing the rest of the tee times back. Slow golfers were made to speed up or miss holes.

We were 90 minutes through the first 4 holes, with a clear run we’d have finished the front 9 in that time.

Enjoy playing the Legacy! Very fair, and greens are in great shape, that you can let the ball fly high onto the green, and it will stick! Very few divots on the green, players seem to fix theirs.

Great course beautiful layout good long-distance par 3's. A good combination of forgiving as well as challenging.

The enjoyed our foursome and had a good game.

The course conditions were rather little dry but it could also be because lately it's been very hard and less rains.

But the course can definitely use some more water.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Even though it is about an hour and a half drive from where I live, will play there again!

Two beautiful courses, friendly staff, great owners, the food quality is great, and you can't beat the value, l look forward to the changes they are making and will come back again and again.

I played both the Legacy and the Legends course. The Legends is a much nicer course welt. The Legacy has some strange cart paths in the middle of the course. Thought they were sand traps but was mistaken. Not an easy course to walk though you'll need the cart.

Absolutely pure, course was in amazing condition. Lots of great views. Challenging but I was able to play very well for my first time here! Only downside, was I thought the greens were too slow. None the less I’ll be back!

Great weather day - not as hot as recently.

Pace of play was very poor. Players need to be better educated on what they can do to keep pace. I was waiting on virtually every tee and between most shots. Even the worst golfers can play quickly if they employ "ready golf" practices. There is no need to watch every shot of the group - especially when everyone is in their own cart. This should SPEED UP play - not slow it down.

The Covid-19 virus is providing golf courses with numerous challenges. Slow play from golfers should not be among those challenges.
