Legacy Course - Signature Par 3 8th Hole Photo submitted by u862699574 on 06/25/2019
Great course
Beautiful new course, super underrated in my opinion. Great staff all around as well
Great track
Considering the extreme heat wave, the course was in great condition. Greens rolled well. Not many golfers because of the heat so the play was quick.
Needs work
We thought the Legacy course was 1 year old but was told it was 5-7 years old. Based on that, there should have been a LOT more work completed by now. Dirt cart paths, temporarily hole signs etc. Greens were nice, but fairways were a little rough. Felt like the potential for an awesome course, but still somewhat under construction. Views of the Legends course made us hungry for a round there instead.
The restaurant and patio view were top notch.
Dangerous
Had a group behind us twice almost hit us on the green while we were putting. Told Marshall and nothing happened. Not happy at all
Buyer Beware
Terrible experience at this course BUYER BEWARE!
Upon arriving we asked for separate carts and were told “come on you guys are in the same social bubble”. As if the staff are COVID experts. We do not live together and audibly asked for separate carts but were denied.
Then at 8:40, we were stopped in the tee box on 18 and told we would not finish by the 8:45 curfew and were stopped from finishing our round...I asked where was the curfew posted. The answer was nowhere.
1) it’s July and we could easily safely golf until after 9 and they said it wasn’t about safety and rather that they need to close up...
2) this rule/curfew is not posted anywhere or mentioned by staff until they came to stop us
3) There are no Marshall’s. Pace of play was brutal, so no chance to even have a chance to finish the round.
4) they sell tee times on their site and on golfnow, knowing you have no chance to finish 18 by 8:45. Multiple other groups were also stopped.
Terrible experience. I paid for a service, 18 holes of golf and was denied that without any reason besides, it’s policy and they don’t pay staff after 9pm.
Good course that will only improve
Legacy is the newer of the two 18s. While the cart paths aren't pretty and some of the bunkers aren't manicured, holes are typically pretty challenging. The greens are pretty large but vary in gradient from fairly flat to "there's an elephant in the green" and for the most part play fairly slow.
Price wise, it is much more reasonable during "twilight" teeing off at 4:30 or 4:50pm when you can still have time to finish 18 before sun sets and saves you a bunch of money.
Great Day
Quick pace today. The two of us had a great time playing this course for the first time.
Worth the drive
If you don't already know, Woodington Lake is one of the jewels on Ontario golf. Two pristine course of different flavours will satisfy every golf lover. The new owners are fabulous guys eager to please their guests and you won't find a flaw that they will not take to heart and correct.
Not bad but still needs work
A little on the pricey side for the actual course condition but that can happen in the gta. Course appears to be fairly new and alot of the finishing touches are not finished off nicely yet. Great layout and a decent challenge. The two pins on every green experiment was extremely annoying and would prefer the second one be removed. Staff was friendly. The number one tee is a 5-10 minute cart ride from the clubhouse which was unexpected. All around nice course and the more they finish it the better it should get. I will play it again!
For the value, great course to play compared to over priced courses in the area (GTA) that are not even close to what their asking you to pay in value. This year almost every course is taking advantage of golfers. With Covaid 19 here, more n more golfers will stop golfing into the season, because of loss of income. The over priced courses will suffer in the end. Golfers will not forget, how they’ve being taken advantage of in the end.
Tottenham gem
Very impressed with layout and course condition. Great staff, great food and given the covid-19 challenges, wonderful over all. Worth the drive and will be back soon

Great Links Course
Great bang for your buck!!! Beautiful course and would play it over and over again. We were all impressed
Terrible for the price
Course was in bad shape for $100 a round sand bunkers were gravel/concrete..two pin locations on each green. Course was in bad shape not worth anywhere near the $100 price tag for 18 holes. I will never play that course again and hope no one else plays it...save your money for bantys roost..better course at $25 for 18 holes.
Poorly kept
Waste bunkers and regular bunkers very poorly kept.
Poor signage to determine where to go for first hole.
No Marshall’s around to help speed up play.
The course have no sign, don't even know where is the next hole. Don't have road too on the course
The legacy course condition is so bad, so muddy, no cart path at all at eighteen hole. Already several year still not developed. No sign told you where is the next hole, each hole also don't have any yardage or lay out. Just like a non develop new course, nothing already at all.
WHAT A WASTE (Bunkers)
Had the opportunity to play the Legacy Course for the first time. First off, let me say that I am a big fan of links style courses. The biggest issue was the bunkers, luckily I wasn't in very many...BUT I would say that almost every one could be classified as a waste bunker or even Ground under repair. They only bunker that had a good amount of sand was a right hand side fairway bunker on 18. When you go into any bunker you would expect a good amount of sand. Not these ones almost every bunker was "hardpan", Green-side bunkers had no sand but plenty of small rocks and pebbles. How can you expect to get "under" the ball when there is no sand??? The biggest insult was that to the right of one of the holes there was 3-4 large mounds of white and beige sand.
