Century Pines Golf Club
About
Century Pines Golf Club features a lush, parkland layout covered in mature maples, oaks, and pines. The trees border the carefully sculpted fairways and there is mild undulation in the large, fast greens that can cause the occasional uneven lie. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes in the form of large ponds and meandering creeks. Several sand bunkers are also strategically placed throughout. Century Pines Golf Club's final three holes are the most challenging on the golf course, possessing the ability to either make or break your score. These demanding holes require deft approaches, especially considering the treacherous water hazards on all three.

talk about swimming on a golf course
my first time at century pines and i should have brought flippers and a wet suit to golf at more than half the holes we're somehow affected by water and i don't mean ponds or creeks. The course was water logged due to whatever but the maintenance of the course was terrible and not even mentioned before you teed off. I would like to try it again maybe when there is a drought.
Nice course
I have played this course in the past. Nice course overall, but there are a couple of quirky holes, which demands great accuracy, in particular hole #16. Playing these holes while you are struggling with your game would be problematic.
The course was in good condition with some wet areas, but that can be expected due to the time of year.
nice place
Fairways were in excellent condition, considering the time of year and winter that we had. Lush, dry grass in the fairways. Much of the rough was also dry and playable. Greens were not in good shape though. Very bumpy with lots of brown sandy patches. I was paired with a course regular who says their greens are usually in superb condition, so their current conditions were probably due to winter. Once they are improved, it will be a much nicer round. Nice course, for reasonable price and good layout for walking and playing.
too cramped
I found this course very cramped, and a very awkward layout. Feels like on many tee blocks you are right in the line of fire from the previous hole, we played from the blacks, and some holes either didnt have any black tee blocks or they were off in the shrubs and on a mound. It looks like the course was designed to be about 5400 yards, and the stretch to 6600 was not well thought out.
course has a nice layout to it
Very friendly stall and the couse is in good shape .the greens were topdressed recently so they were alittle bumpy but it was still a great time.will be coming back for more.
Plays well
The winter was tough on some of the greens. Still a bit wet in some areas.
Overall it was a great day.
Wet and fun
The course was quite wet but still had a great time. Being an addicted golfer and playing in all weather I have become a custom to playing in less then pristine conditions. However Century Pines did a great job minimizing the damage to most played areas. It was my first time playing at Century Pines and I very much look forward to playing again.
Spring is too wet
This is a beautiful course. They opened a month too early, the course is in aweful shape. It was water logged even on fairways. Greens were slow. Save your money until the summer for this one not worth the 60 a round they're charging.
Make sure the whole course is in fact "open".
It is unfortunate that we did not take pictures as we forded rivers in our carts. Only the front nine was open which everyone neglected to mention to us until we arrived! The course had no business being open at all and they should be ashamed of their greed in booking golfers and providing no compensation whatsoever.
Nice tree lined course
Very nice, will play again. The cost thru Golf Now made this a very affordable course.
Excellent value for the money!
Course lends itself well to both walking and carting without significant impact on length of round. Well groomed and consistent turf on fairways and greens. Drainage could be improved in some areas for improved wet conditions. Friendly and fast snacks and refreshment services. Good mixture of course challenges with sand traps, ponds and natural woodlots and streams.
Well maintained
First group off the tee. We finished in 3 hours which was amazing. Course is well maintained.
Frustrating!!
Tournament starting on the front with about 5 groups waiting at the first tee were told that we are teeing off on the back by the time we came around there was still about 3-4 groups from the tournament waiting to tee off nobody seemed to know what to do with us. We were eventually given the opportunity to tee off on 14 and play to 18 and play 10-13 again. This would have been a viable option however by the time we hit 18 there were 3 groups waiting to tee off of 10. Needless to say due to the shocking disorganization of the staff we only got in 16 holes in 41/2 hours. Never have I seen so much disorganization from a golf course in my 20 years of playing golf. Will certainly not be returning to this course or to any kaneff course for that matter.
Very nice course
Second time I played this course this year. Great value through golf now!
Average course, average conditions, good value
I would give this course a 3.25/5, assuming 2.5 represented 'average'.
The course itself is a slight hair of step up from courses like Tam O' Shanter, Humber Valley, Bloomington Downs, and the like.
Greens aren't too too fast but aren't in the greatest of pristine condition as say a top tier Clublink course like Lake Joseph, as an example. Overall, the course is flat and some holes are pretty wide open hence why this course tends to attract "hackers", which is fine by me. Considering our foursome tee'd off at 12:30 pm on a Saturday and took us about four and a half hours to walk 18 holes, pace of play was pretty tolerable.
For the non-hot deal Golfnow price of $36 to walk after 12 pm on a weekend, I would highly recommend this course for value-seekers, assuming the drive to the course doesn't hinder them (it's not exactly close to Toronto).
Good layout, good shape. After a heavy rain it was cart paths only which makes sense.
scenic and fairly good pace. No waiting time. Reminded me of the Myrtle Beach golf courses.
The course is okay
The pace of play and its management was poor. We saw a course attendant at the first hole, but did not seen one after that.
Above I responded that I would recommend; but would do so with reservations.
The course is laid out on a small footprint so you see lots of golfers all over the place, which does not make for the right ambiance. The difficulty was good for my level of skill; but a scratch golfer would find it too easy. There is one hole (17) that is very poorly designed and should be fixed.
Faster Pace of Play???
This course always plays fairly quick, even when busy. This time, there were no marshalls on the back nine, and pace of play dropped due to the group two ahead of us. By the end of the round, there were two free holes ahead of the slow group, and no one to move them on. By 16, we had three foursomes at the tee blocks, waiting to go.
Tremendous golf course!!
What a pleasure to play such an interesting and challenging course. Most fairways are tight with water and OB in play on many holes. I am not a long hitter but was able to hit 3-wood off most tees and manage my way around nicely. Shot selection within 150 yards was critical to managing the risk/reward opportunities. Greens were a bit slow but consistent from hole to hole so you could adjust easily. The sand in the bunkers was deep and soft so you could play out of them easily. I look forward to playing here again now that I know the layout.
