Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club
About
Situated just outside of Welland, Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club offers a parkland-style course that is easily accessible from Niagara Falls. With the Niagara Escarpment serving as a backdrop, the golf course has a rolling landscape covered with large ponds, wandering creeks, and towering trees. The Pelham Hills layout features elevated tees and undulating greens that are heavily guarded. In addition to numerous bunkers there is also strategically placed mounding separating the holes. The front nine has a few demanding holes that require long carries over ravines but there are also many birdie opportunities. Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club's back nine tests your drives more than your shot-making skills. The golf course is a formidable challenge but generous fairways make it more player friendly.

Slow, slow ,slow!
Last year we walked off the course after 9 holes took 3 hrs to play.
Thoughtcwe would give them another chance this year.
Even with a Starter & 2 Couse Marshall's, 18 holes still took more than 5 hours to play.
Not a bad course, but only go if you have time to kill!
Course needs work
Looks like the course is trying to improve drainage and course layout has changed since last year. Fairways are hard to reach on 3rd hole, grass hasn't been cut in days.
On the positive side, the fairways were ok, the greens were well kept, and pretty fast.
We will be going again because it's easy to get on and the price is somewhat reasonable.
Pace of play was terrible. Left course after 2 hours only finished 7 holes
Condition were very bad. Grass overgrown and not not well kept. Not worth the $80 in the condition it’s in right now.
Getting better
I see the changes being made here and it is appreciated. Although the price of playing here has gone up, I see the improvements being done.
Not what it used to be!
Played yesterday… hardly anyone on the course. Have played PH many times in the past over many years… we really like it… great layout and value for the money… however, yesterday was the worse conditions I have ever seen. Weather conditions have rendered many holes unplayable due to long uncut rough and standing water. Appears bunkers haven’t been touched this year. Drainage construction everywhere… with no signs of work being done. Many areas that used to be meticulously maintained have been forgotten. Sadly, we won’t be returning this year.
Too much water all over places and lots of repair construction going on, maybe after all, gearing better, but not right niw
Expensive for what you get
The course has a ton of potential but it’s really expensive for the conditions. No signage on any of the holes. No water in 90% of the ball washers. Grass was long but that was to be expected with the wet conditions.
Not worth the Effort
This course was in no condition to play and staff should have offered rain cheques to customers with tee times. Fairways were soaking and the rough was unplayable. Drive your ball in the fairway and spend 10 minutes looking for a plugged ball. The rough was either filled with clippings or winter kill and plenty of dandelions to hide your ball. The standing water on every hole tells me the drainage is terrible. There were no effective way-finding signs on the course, no washrooms anywhere and the ball washers were bone dry.
Golf
Nice course, good value for 18 holes , maybe a bit steep for only 9 holes , staff were great, new Reno upstairs done well, can’t wait to try out the new simulators
vary good value
We have played this course and keep coming back. The length is good, we play from the whites, the layout is moderately challenging so it keeps you alert, and the greens can be tough. The course is in fairly good shape and well kept. The staff are very friendly and the off-course amenities are very good.
