Water Park Golf Club

It so unfortunate but this place needs a full overhaul. Bundles of grass clippings covered fairways, greens with chunks out of the grass/half of the pin holes were overgrown and half closed. Equipment (lawnmowers, tractors, rakes grass collectors and broken golf carts smattered across the course. I was here 5 years ago and it was rough but now it’s just to the point of either a tear down rebuild or time to redevelop the land.

The Waterpark property is awesome, and the course has the potential to be a fantastic executive course. The fairways were in good shape, while the greens were fair. The tee boxes, however, were fair to poor. If the overall course conditions were improved, this could be a really great place to play.

Great for new golfers, kids and practicing. I was expecting much worse after the reviews. Wouldn't use amenities unless it was an emergency.

Would definitely not recommend. Very poorly maintained. We were constantly searching for balls even on the fairway because of how long the grass was. It would be a nice course if it were maintained and had better marked holes and tees. It was very difficult to find where to go. Would not recommend. We got a great deal on golf now. If we had not, we really would have been ticked off. Bottom line there are much better courses out there and it is worth the extra money.

The lay out of the course is good, however every fairway is overgrown like most courses rough. A person can lose a ball in the fairway and that happened to me twice. If you are nervous if people are playing behind you, then this would be a good course to play as no one was on the course after I tee’d off and no one in front either. My tee off was 10:45, but I was able to get on immediately upon arrival at 10:15. If you have trouble playing a ball in the rough, then this will be good practice.

Next month can’t come soon enough—it’s going to be great to play here again under such friendly new ownership.

So happy to have our favorite spot back next month—the new owners are making it feel like home again.b

Can’t wait to see some familiar faces on the fairways next month; huge thanks to the new team for reopening! I played here last September and loved the experience.
