Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club
About
Situated just outside of Welland, Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club offers a parkland-style course that is easily accessible from Niagara Falls. With the Niagara Escarpment serving as a backdrop, the golf course has a rolling landscape covered with large ponds, wandering creeks, and towering trees. The Pelham Hills layout features elevated tees and undulating greens that are heavily guarded. In addition to numerous bunkers there is also strategically placed mounding separating the holes. The front nine has a few demanding holes that require long carries over ravines but there are also many birdie opportunities. Pelham Hills Golf & Country Club's back nine tests your drives more than your shot-making skills. The golf course is a formidable challenge but generous fairways make it more player friendly.

Nice day out
Enjoyed the course - lots of clover and not a great transition from rough to fairways. Layout and greens were ok - I did like several of the challenging par 3 holes.
Rip off and Deer Flys
They advertise a 2 golfer walking rate for 28$ each and will only let you ride a cart if you pay the “riding rate” which is about $50 each... says carts are available but that’s a pretty excessive jump in price.... also watch out for the garbage blowing around the course, the Deer flys and the Fairway side Camp fire pit on the 10th hole
Friendly reception at clubhouse and made sure we were well accomadated. Course dry but played well. Some challenges for intermediate golfer, but not my first choice of a course. I prefer more established setting with big trees. Gameplay moved fine and 9 hole option was a nice option for us (38c with humidity!)
First time visit
But not my last. I enjoyed the lay out and condition of the course. The staff were Uber friendly.
Perfect for the Weekend Warrior
Played during Canada Day, so expected it to be a zoo. We were a twosome and had the other twosome we were supposed to be paired with cancel, so went off behind groups of four. Pace of play was pretty reasonable considering.
Course was a little less appealing than I had hoped for. Layout was designed to score, but the fairways really weren’t distinguishable from the rough. Very hard ground and lumpy fairways. Greens were in pretty good shape, nice and soft.
Golf Pelham Hills
Course is long (yards) but open.
Some greens a little rough but minor overall
Had a great time.
Recommended!!
Course is in great shape. Well designed for walking. Freindly staff. Had a great day.
First time player at this course
Tee decks very hard, tough to put tee in ground
Fairways very dry and hard, rough very punitive. Tough to find balls that were hit on a straight line in front of you
Great course
Love this course just wish the grass was cut shorter around the fairways so the balls. don’t disappear
Friendly pro shop
First time ever playing there, hard with the virus going around with course conditions I guess but from my experience there the hole length was good, placement was fine. I did not like how you couldn't tell the fairways from rough. On 2 holes they had a maintenance guy with a weed wacker walking around on the middle of the fairway while we were trying to hit, not even a wave, a "sorry" from the guy. Nothing wouldnt even look at us when we asked what he was doing. Although the Pro shop was very friendly, I don't believe i'll be going back this year. If youre a beginner it's not a bad course but you can pay the same amount to play at a better condition course.
