About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways.The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Very slow moving tournament ahead of us. Took us close to 6 hours to finish our round.

Course conditions were terrible. Fairways patchy and hard. Tee areas full of divots and broken tees. This course used to be so much better!
Shot makers course
Shot makers course. Very impressed with the course. Greens were nice and fast.
Soft sand
Course is currently finishing up new bunkers and fairway improvement projects. Cannot wait to see these once they are finished!
Downhill
Played this course several years ago, it was nothing like I remembered. This time of year, courses should be near their peak, this one was not. Very little grass on the tee boxes, but littered with broken tees. Hole #9 was reduced from a par 4 to barely 100 yards.
Good Golf Course
This is a golf course where we can play any time. It has some challenges, specially if it is windy. I highly recommend it.
Horrible course conditions
Course is in horrible shape. Dirt spots and hard pan everywhere. Several greens in bad shape. Won't be playing there again any time soon.
Greens
The greens had a lot of crab grass gowning on them mad putting not so great but other than that is was a very good day at the golf course
Bang for the buck
The course layout is nice, there are plenty of hills and water, as of 4/5/2023 the bunkers are out of commission and being redone. they are considered ground under repair, I was unaware of this until check-in for my round. Overall a good course the for the $38 price tag.
They need work
The course was in horrible condition. Weeds on the greens and fairways so dry the ball bounced forever. The layout is great but the course needs work. We were a foursome and has a twosome in front that slowed play down to a crawl. Foursomes should never be able to catch a twosome. Course Marshall’s we’re needed to speed up play. They had a 90 degree rule for some weird reason.
