Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Great conditions for Texas Summer Weather
Hidden Creek has done what seems to be an excellent job trying to keep their greens during this hot Texas Summer. Course in some spots were bare; however, hitting your ball in the fairway should leave you without an issue. Will be playing again soon!
Hidden Creek Course Review
For the price of the round, this was an amazing course to play! The greens by far were the best part of the course and the fairways were a little patchy but not bad! I would definitely recommend this to anyone!
Continue to Play this 1
Greens were really good. Fairways & tee boxes were a little firm but kudos to the staff for sparing their water to the parts that matter most. Greens would hold shots & roll true. Good course & great value on GolfNow (even not on GolfNow). I've played courses 2x more this year (Tour 18) in worse shape all around. Hidden Creek is a keeper!!
It’s back!
Very pleased with how Hidden Creek’s fairways have come around. Greens were in great shape as well! There are a number of bare areas in fairways around the course but overall the grass has come in nicely and the course is fun to play again. The pro shop is always well stocked and fair on pricing and they have a great practice facility sans sand. You always get to see a beverage cart at least once per nine holes and pass the clubhouse at the turn is great too! Wish they had a Marshall for pace of play sometimes.
Needs TLC
Lots of bare patches, course does not drain well. Looks like it could have been a good course but the missing grass covered about 20% of the fairways.
Best City Course in DFW
I love this course. It's a city course so you have to put up with the once a year players that disrespect any course they play on but the staff at Hidden Creek has taken major steps in producing a great product. The greens are phenomenal! The new white sand bunkers are easy to hit out of. The fairways are a little tough with a few rough patches but they are working on them. I would like to see the city provide the money for new carts. Ken and the staff at Hidden Creek are always available to take care of their customers.
Good bang for the buck.
Recently moved to the area and gave this course a shot. Pretty good condition with a decent price. I'll make my way over here again.
All time low!
I shot my all time lowest score on this course May 31, 2023. Pace of play was great until around hole 16, and there was a backup.
I will be back on this course again!
Needs a lot of work
Fairways had ~75% grass. Mud and potholes along very narrow cart paths. Course layout is lame. First time there and I can’t find much positive to say about the day… other than my foursome.
