Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Disrespectful employees
I accidentally booked 80 time for the wrong date but I paid for it in advance and the person in the Pro Shop refused don't let me play the day I showed up. They should have squeeze me in considering I already paid for the round. Would not refund my money and told me the only way to make use of the money I've already spent was to come back next week.
Wet and Fun
Course was very wet from the recent rain. Bummer that the range was closed and every hole was cart path only. Greens were soft and in great shape. Love playing out this course!
Great course
Great place not too hard not too easy great course
First time Playing here, we'll be back
This was the first time playing Hidden Creek, it will not be our last. My wife and I really liked the course it was in excellent condition, very lush and green, better than average condition for Texas in the middle of summer. The greens were a challenge, they were fairly fast, but didn't break as much as they appeared that they should. Over all it was very enjoyable course to play.
A Walk Through the Woods
This is my second time here. I really like this layout and appreciate the challenge. This is not a terrible long course, but can be a bear off the tee with trees lining both sides of many fairways. Novice golfers need to learn to hit the ball fairly strait off the tee before coming out here, otherwise you will spend all day in the trees and slow down the pace of play. The greens are good. Staff is friendly. Can't wait to come back.
Aeration time
Course will be ready in a couple weeks when greens recover from aeration...Challenging track especially in wind.
First Time Out
So, there were a few conditions that affected today's round. First, the greens were punched recently, so naturally they were slow and bumpy. Second, there has been some rain recently. They were on Cart Path Only. Honestly, other than a few early holes that didn't drain well, it was completely unnecessary. The layout requires accuracy off the tee. The carts are nice but do not have GPS, so make sure to load a phone app for distance to the pin. One interesting aspect of this course is the varying distances from the different tees. The back tees often product a mid or long iron approach, especially in to the wind. The white tees are the right distance for the average golfer. There are many holes that are three club greens, so pay attention to the flag placement. Finally, the par 5's can be a little tricky the first time out, so the bombers may want to lay back a bit. Overall I'm really looking forward to coming back out and playing on a day with the greens in normal condition and carts on 90 degrees.
