Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Very Nice!
Pace was exceptional (see more below)... Condition for being late fall was exceptional... Difficulty was nice, i.e. challenging but fair... Odd, but course backed up starting at hole 14; didn't "ruin" the round but was definitely a distraction. Would definitely recommend and play again.
Decent
I was initially disappointed when first arriving. The course is municipal-style, located just off of the highway. Therefore a few holes are quite noisy from traffic. Past that, however, the course is rather pleasing. The staff were friendly and the conditions appeared respectable. Fairways were already dormant and the greens were painted. The greens were fair, running fast and true. The layout was also interesting. A particular par five will test you with it’s “S” shaped fairway. I would play here again.
Slow Play
We played 9 holes in almost 3hrs and quit. The foursome in front of us were hitting several tee shots each, and also multiple fairway shots, no marshal visible on the course as well.
Considering the rain, great shape
Considering the amount of rain we've had the past few weeks, course played good. Greens rolled true.
Great Impression
My teenage son and I went and played Hidden Creek today. The weathe started out great but we caught a little rain. The course held up well, greens ran true, and we will be back regularly!
Very tight course
This is a very tight course. Not especially long but you need to be in the fairway. There’s not a lot of room for error. Greens are good.
They take great care of the course and equipment
Mike took care of my partner before he arrived. He also had our cart ready for us when we arrived. Great guy! Highly recommend this golf course! Thanks Hidden Creek!
Amazing Staff
Can't say enough about the staff and how accommodating and friendly they were. Course is in good shape and pace of play was good.
Great overall experience.
Greens were slow but hold a ball great. Fairways are in good shape. Course could work on the crabgrass problem but that is a minor thing. Staff is very friendly and the restaurant has great food.
Great Course
Great soft tee boxes, other courses I’ve played had hard tee boxes. Nice greens, open space, lost a few balls in the bush, but that’s part of the game. I would play this course again. I like it, even had a cart girl there but didn’t get anything.
I had a great time, I have driven by course over 50 times going back and forth between FW and San Antonio. Always wanted to play it and I finally did I will definitely be back.
Pace of play
It's not that the course is bad. It's actually in good shape. Pace of place is horrible and bunks are rocks and mud. Greens are true. Fairway are nice.
Good Value for the Money, Time and Distance
We have played Hidden Creek several times to date and expect that we will return and play here again in the near future. Living in Arlington, Hidden Creek is not too far to travel. I left my cell phone in the cart and the staff were very helpful in retrieving the phone.
Special Thanks!
Crowded for a Tuesday.
To crowded for a single during the week. Only played 7 of 18 holes before I stopped trying to play through groups. Course was in real good shape and the price is right.
