Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Always a good time!
This is a good course to play on the south end of town. Keep it in the fairway and you'll go low!
Hidden within
This course was a good time and being my 1st time here did enjoy the course more because I played good. Time of year heat and dry made some of the fairways with very good roll yet short grass hard dirt. We played mid day which didn't help the dry fairways and hard sand traps.
Overall I did enjoy the course and would recommend this course to anyone less than pro. Ok, even the Pros might enjoy it too.
Excellent Value
The greens had been punched fairly recently, but the course was in good shape. The staff is always very professional. The food in the restaurant is very good and a good value. This course is one of the best values in DFW. The course is well designed and moderately challenging. It suits a wide variety of handicap players.
good course
The greens had been recently punched and sanded, so they were bumpy and not ideal. I enjoyed the course otherwise.
Hidden Creek
Was very satisfied with the course ,no issues with anything on our round
Course condition was good but the greens had been punched and were very bumpy.
In Retrospect...
I hadn't played here in some time. I decided to give it a try. It was a mistake.
Course has crabgrass everywhere, course is unkept, carts are falling apart. It seems there is little effort being put into the upkeep of the course.
Staff drove by occassionally to monitor the pace of play, but did nothing else - while driving by massive crabgrass and other things that could be done to improve the course.
Will never play here again. Poor value - poor course.
If you've never played golf and want to play something cheap, this may be a good option however.
Always great!
I've played here at least 20 times and it never disappoints. Course is in great shape and the greens are perfect. Maybe the best thing about the course is the frequent presence of the Marshall. They do a great job keeping the pace of play moving.
Still a great course
I have played this course for many years. Nice course for the money.
Greens were a bit fuzzy.
Course
The course was in great shape. Love playing here and the staff is great.
Great for the money
Course is in good condition. It could use more manicuring but is in good playing condition. The greens putt consistently. Not too many bumps and no dead spots. The bunkers and sand traps could use a little work and players need to take them out. A little nose sand in a couple of them would be good. Players could spend a few seconds repairing ball marks on the greens and putting sand in fairways. The driving range could use some work. I'd like to see the distances to flags on the range posted.
The course is a good test and has enough tee boxes for anyone's game. (Remind people to play it forward. Beginners playing from the championship tees slows the pace of play. )
