Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Great layout
First played last month. Much better now. Greens and fairways are excellent. Greens roll true and no hard pan fairways. Clean, well maintained course.
Very nice redesign
the course underwent a fairly extensive redesign and it has been re-routed and features a few new holes. Course was in great shape, but the greens, while beautiful and green, were extremely slow. They rolled very true, but were just plain slow. Seemed like they weren't mowed down very tight and lots of grain fighting against your ball. Also, the bunkers were never raked and looked like they hadn't been in quite some time.
All in all, for the price, it's a great value. Just hit your putts a little harder and avoid the bunkers.
Great course for the money and great staff
Great pricing for what you get, a great course with a bit of challenge.
Greens !
Great greens ! Very receptive , greens will hold your approach shots.
Great Value!
This is one of the BEST municipal courses I have ever played.
Fairways are fairly generous, greens are big and very smooth. Has a good combination of dog-legs, good length par-3's.
good value
Love the course. The right amount of challenge. Nice facility with great staff.
re-design was a success
best way to book a tee time, easy & fast, Thanks !!
Good value
For the money (under $30 thru golfnow) I cannot think of many places that beat HiddenCreek. In fairness I live less than a mile from the course, so that factors in for me.
It isn't Augusta but very good for a muni in a smaller suburb. Excellent facilities given that they have range convenient to the course with two putting greens and a wedge area as well.
Good course to have in your golfing rotation for the Fort Worth area.
Reviews don't match
The review on GolfNow and condition just don't match. Greens were ok based on time of year bunkers were not very good. Lack of rakes by bunkers and just rude people not raking bunkers added to substandard conditions. Too many very high handicap golfers holding up the course. Not really sure how this course is rated 4.2 conditioning.
Staff unfriendly
The course is fun and challenging for all levels of golfers. But front desk guy needs a course in professional etiquette. I handed staff my credit card to pay and he throws my credit card on counter instead of handing it back to me. Handed me my golf range coin the same way. Very rude and unprofessional. If I hand you my payment it's only professional to do the same.
Cold Day...stuck behind two foursomes
The course is not in bad condition. They redesigned a few of the holes since I last played. What used to be the 18th green is now wasteland (eye sore). But playing in February isn't pretty, unless you spend a pretty penny and visit a top tier course. Fairways and rough were all brown, but the greens were painted, which helped them stand out, and they did roll true. It was 45 degrees out, and windy, but overall, not a bad outing. I plan on playing this course again after it warms up.
Great value and challenging.
I like this course. Will play many more rounds here.
The New Hidden Creek
I like the changes and the re-routing of a few holes. More playable but still challenging. Glad they got rid of the old #18. New greens are still very hard. Fairways were dormant but greens were nice.
a very challenging course. trouble awaits on every hole.
the remodel was a great improvement to this course. plays harder than the handicap rating.
good terrain, well maintained, challenging but user friendly.
rolling hills, interspersed with trees and creeks make this an interesting, fun and challenging layout. Promotional fee was great, too.
I loved the course. In great condition. Thoroughly enjoyed.
I played the course for the 2nd time since the re-do. It is now playing as the designer likely imagined. The course has everything necessary for a challenge but doesn't overwhelm.
its a challenging golf course
This course was more challenging than what I remember. It was in really good condition and you definitely want to stay away from the rough.
middle of tourney
$24 on golfnow is top of price range. remodel is good.THIRD time in a row golfnow tee time there was a tournament going on!!! 1:30 tee time ...shotgun at 1:00.
Great course for a great price
The course is set up very nice, greens are in very good shape, and the price is great. I think I have found my home course!
