Hidden Creek Golf Club
About
Nestled along the banks of its namesake Hidden Creek, this is a links-style/traditional combination that rolls through oak and mesquite groves. The fairways are narrow and trees line every hole. The greens are fast and huge, and lakes come into play frequently along with numerous dogleg fairways. The course was designed by Stephen D. Plumer, who incorporated a few split fairways to spice up the layout.
The best hole is the 448-yard No. 8, which forces at least a 230-yard tee shot over water to a tight landing area and an approach down the dogleg-left fairway to a multi-tiered green.
Getting there : From I-20, take I-35 south, and drive 10 miles to Renfro Rd. Stay on the access road and the course is on the right side.

Course in terrible shape
Fairways are destroyed, greens have weeds in them, most tee boxes in bad shape. The new bunkers are great but you have to wonder if that was a big waste of money. Why have nice bunkers if the rest if the course is terrible?
Needs work
damage to fairways, and a lot of bare areas that need sod.. greens OK if players would pick up their feet to avoid leaving spike marks all over the greens. Also I don't think players here believe in repairing ball marks on greens.. i had a Golnow prepaid and when I arrived at the course to check in they tried to say I owe $76 for round. Laughable.. I woulnd't even pay $76 to play Rangers or Cowboys.and this course is far from that quality. I would not pay more than the $29 senior rate for this one. The other thing is the quality of players is low because I get hit into a lot n this course
If only they had grass
Hidden Creek is such a fun track. They have redone all of the bunkers and they are great now. If they could ever get grass to grow all around the course it would be worth be of the most popular tracks in the DFW area. The greens are awesome and the only drawback to this course would s the lack of grass. So many areas of hardpan where grass should be just detract from the course.
Fun course, price matches condition.
Fairways are a little rough. Course is also a little wet. But I would recommend playing here. Nice staff ,good price and the breakfast sandwich is best in dfw.
It always rains when we play!!
It’s winter conditions at Hidden Creek and there was a steady rain our whole round, so it was muddy wherever we parked and had to walk to the tee and greens. This was understandable, but there seemed to be grass lacking in places and good grass for the most part. Every time my husband and I book with GolfNow and take time off work, it seems to rain so we are used to extreme conditions. The greens were great though and we had fun as usual!!
Fun time
The course is located right off I-35. You don’t notice your right next to the highway until the last 3 holes, Today there was a lot of mud. Other than it was a great time. Definitely will be back!
Fairways were not in good shape. Greens were in good shape. Pace was slow needed a Marshall to keep the pace going.
Best Value in the Area!
They’ve done a lot of work to the course recently and the greens are in great shape for this time of year. There were a few dead spots in the fairway, but all in all, and for the price, there’s not a better value in the area.
Enjoyed the experience
The course is in good shape. The playing pace was excellent. I'll be back.
Fairways
Overall a very good course and day of golf. Only concern is some of the fairways, especially the first few, seemed to have quite a few bare spots.
Course in rough shape
They didn’t have any range balls for warmup in the afternoon, the greens and fairways are in rough shape. Lots of sand/dirt everywhere, standing water, ball marks on greens look like they hadn’t been fixed in weeks. Luckily got to play for the afternoon rate, but our golf cart also died on us when we were trying to bring it back. Had to push it back 3 holes. No one at the pro shop would answer because they had already left.
Hidden Creek
Greens and tee boxes in good shape. The rest of the course needs work.
