Love the layout but the greens were punched and excessively sanded. Would have loved to have been told in advance.

Fairways and greens very good condition; however, both were hard as a rock. Very difficult to get pro v to hold a green. Play for front of greens and allow for roll out.

Was well pleased with everything about this course,staff was very friendly and the greens were very nice rolled true and medium fast ,the fairways were mowed nice and plenty of grass but all courses should be in good shape as we have had alot of rain.we played Monday after the rains Sunday night n early Monday morning everything was in great shape including all the bunkers.I would definetly recommend giving this a go even if u had to drive a few extra miles

Very wet conditions due to storms the night before.The course is in very good conditions. Greens rolled smooth!

I first played this course in 2012 and swore to never go back. Last spring I played 9 holes and learned ownership had changed. With that I mind, ventured out this spring and noticed considerable difference and some updates with the course range.

New ownership has done well so far to rectify the past mistreatment of the course. Its a solid 18 holes and a fun play. So, hope the new ownership keeps the positive vibes going.

This time of year course is in great shape. Greens rolling true.

Started on the back nine, which was okay. When we made the turn we picked up a third player and got caught behind two very slow groups that forgot to let faster player play through. this added an extra hour to our play time.

Other than that, it was a very good day!

Greens were hard and fast. They are still upgrading the traps. Our favorite course.

Hadn't played here in a while. New owners have made a lot of upgrades to the course. Wow. Very impressed. Greens are in fantastic condition for winter. They are replacing sand in all the bunkers. The bunkers that had been fixed already played great. I can see they are fixing some of the hard pan areas around various fairways and greens with fresh dirt. Driving range was much improved too. Wish I lived closer and I would play here more. I have always loved the course, but now it is even better with the upgrades. The various stone flowerbeds, etc give the course a nice touch too.

I play this course often.
It's well kept and improving all the time.
What I really like about the course is the personnel.

When Southern Oaks first opened it was a great layout and very nice. Thru the years it went down and for a while it wasn't even worth the time but in the last year with new owners and an influx of money it is coming back to be very enjoyable again. I would recommend putting it on the rotation.

Beautiful day (mid-70s), generous fairways (although somewhat sparse in places making for tight lies), but almost no yardage markers and contoured greens made it tough to hit GIR/get up & down. Also, they're redoing the bunkers so some were just washed-out mud pits.

The rain spit on us a little but we got our round in. We love to play Southern Oaks. Course was in excellent condition.

Good course for mid-level golfers. Wide fairways with well placed bunkers. Fun course to play.

From 7300 yds down to the ladies at 5300 yds there is a tee box for everyone. Very nice layout and open so the players move forward at a good pace but not easy - deserves the 129 rating from the white tees. Greens and fairways in very good shape considering the deluge of rain in May and unrelenting heat ever since.

I have not played this course in a few years. After hearing about substantial improvements, I could not have been more disappointed. Hardpan everywhere. Greens were in good condition, but fairways were brown and hard. If you were unlucky enough to be in the rough especially around the greens, forget about it. The new sand is ridiculous(where there is new sand). The old sand bunkers are full of rocks. I would hate to pay full price at this course. I will not be back.
