About
Named after the bordering lake that the course overlooks, Lakeside Golf Club takes full advantage of the natural landscape of rolling hills and live oaks. Water comes into play on nearly every hole on the course. Streams and dry creek beds dot the course, creating challenges on several holes. The golf course also features undulating greens and narrow landing areas. Designed to provide a formidable test for any golfer, Lakeside Golf Club demands accuracy in addition to careful strategy. One of the most notable difficult holes on the golf course is the par-5 12th, which requires an approach shot over water to a well bunkered green.

Poor condition
Could be a nice course but in extremely bad shape. Numerous greens with bare patches and those with grass had a lot of native grass growing in. No grass on numerous tee boxes and bare fairways. Might be better in the spring but terrible now. Not worth the green fee but was able to play 18 in under four hours.
Great place for the money.
Took my kids n grandpa out and had a Blast. We are not good golfers by Any means but overall had a Great experience. Will be going back next week.
Lady at Pro shop was Very nice and got a whole round in and out in 4 hrs.
Canyon lake was a bit out of the way but well worth it for us.
Don't beleive the pictures.
Golf needs lots of water and care. Greens have weeds where short grass should be if it has grass, some have large patches of dirt. Fairways are dry with large cracks and minimal fairway grass. Could be an excellent course with work and great greens keeper. As is only worth a minimal amount to play, not a great deal for the 16.50 we paid.
This course is a litle bit avandon
I like to play there, because you are not with players behind and you are not pressure. You can play more free.

Fairways were OK...but, greens were awful....like what you would expect in the fall/winter. Rough, dead spots and like putting on pavement.

In sad need of water and care!
Fairways were mostly gravel, green care and tee boxes so hard you could barely get your tee in the ground.

Bad conditions
The tee boxes, fairways, and especially the greens were in really rough condition. I had played there before so I knew it wasn’t going to be great but I’ve never seen it quite this bad. And we’ve had rain so I thought maybe it would be better. I was embarrassed for my friend to be there.

Great view
Great view of the lake as I arrived to the course. The greens are in desperate need of some serious TLC otherwise another fun day of golf :-))

Great Value
It was my first time playing this course and was met with narrow fairways, small greens and mostly decent grass. Lots of doglegs!!

This course has a challenging layout and excellent scenery of the lake and canyon areas including wildlife. The fairways were rather poor and the greens below average.
Not bad for March
Course not perfect but average for winter play. There were several grounds people working on the course so they are trying to make/keep it as best they can.
