About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Best course I’ve played on all year!
I didn’t know what to expect. The price was just right for the ratings, so I reserved a tee time for my wife and I. The day of my wife got sick and I ended up playing with a twosome. The staff was great and provided me with a rain check. As soon as we started to play I noticed how well maintained the tee boxes and fairways were. As for the greens, they just aerated and laid sand. At first I was concerned, but the greens were in excellent shape and extremely fast. It was a challenge throughout the game and the change in elevation and scenery was beautiful! We are definitely playing this course again. Best one of the season. Just a fun round of golf.
It was an average course
Played this course a lot of times and is usually in good shape. A little disappointed that many of the bunkers were not even playable. Rough needed to be cut and the fairways were just ok shape.

Coyote Ridge
Greens were heavily sanded. Made putting impossible yet they did not discount the round . Price to value terrible when these conditions exist . Would not recommend playing here when greens sanded

Nothing's changed
Coyote Ridge is a very nice course and the conditions are great considering the extremely hot weather we've been having. However, they keep raising prices and the "value for $$ paid" has exceeded what the course is actually worth especially on a week day. I checked yes I would recommend, but only if you can easily afford it. Pace of ply is always very slow on weekends

Overpriced and bunker repair
The greens are in great shape, but there are a ton of bunkers under repair. For those conditions I'm surprised at the rate. Also, they used to include range balls in the fee, now you have to pay more for range balls. Either reduce the green fees or include range balls! If the course was 25 pct less, it'd be 4 or 5 stars, but at these rates, it's 3 stars.

The higher the green fee, the better the manners of the players.
Golf courses in the Dallas area are played on average three times a week, and the lower the green fee, the less manners the players have. If you think about the reason, it's the players' income level. Life is hard, so they don't have manners, and they just play as they please. Golf is a gentleman's game, but most players who come to golf courses with low green fees have no manners, don't follow the rules, and don't ride carts around the green. When I look at it, I don't understand at all.

Pricey for mediocrity
Not a bad track, but really inconsistent conditions. Some bunkers in great shape, others full of rocks and GIR. Some greens rolled nicely, others were hairy, others rock hard. Decent layout but not worth the $100 price tag. And the Texas heat is real

Course condition is excellent
Greens, fairways, and tee boxes are in very good shape. Course layout is a balanced mixed of easy & hard holes. Would recommend.

Howling good Time at Coyote Ridge
My wife and i played 18. It had rained recently and the tee boxes were super soft, greens were in good shape...i avoided the traps fortunately, but i don't think they were washed out like some courses get around here after a good rain.
I played the white tees and they are a bit short vs other courses white Tees.. I think i'd play the blues next time.
Beverage cart was active. Prices were good and they took credit cards so that was nice. Course had a steady crowd but wasn't over crowded.
Had to wait a few minutes for a cart but that was about the only glitch off course.

Had a great time
The course was in great condition from the tee box, to the fairways, to the greens. I didn’t expect it. Some might be upset that they had a majority of the bunkers under repair but it didn’t bother us. They had ice water at several holes and the cart attendant came by several times making sure we were hydrated. The Marshal was out there speeding up play and making sure everyone was good as well. Thank you for a great day of golf. I will definitely golf this course again when I return.

Very Slow with no Marshall to monitor
We didn't finish, because of how long it took. There were two groups waiting behind a hole while another group is teeing off on that same hole. Course looked good, but wish would have played somewhere else so we could have finished.

Fantastic experience!
The course was amazing in terms of being well kept. While also being aggressive but paying the price if you’re too aggressive. Had a great experience and can’t wait for the opportunity to go back

Good condition
May be it was too early in the morning, the guy at pro shop was extremely unfriendly.
Aside from hardpan bunkers, the condition of the tee boxes, fairways, rough and greens and in very good condition.
I played solo on a weekday at 0700 so pace was fast
