Coyote Ridge Golf Club
About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Great first time experience.
This was my first visit to Coyote Ridge and had high expectations. For the green fee, I expected good things and overall would say it was worth it. Pace of play was excellent (we went out early though). Greens were in great shape. . . fairways were mostly good. Course is fair and pro shop staff was friendly. We enjoyed and plan to visit again when in North Dallas area.
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Coyote Ridge Golf Club.
Might be my favorite course in Dallas
Played a lot of courses, but coyote is my new favorite . Course conditions 9.5/10 (sand traps are ground under repair). Practice facility was 8/10 (only deduction was many of the mats are missing tees), pace of play 9/10, staff 10/10. Front 9 is pretty open but challenging. Back 9 is a play smart and layup strategy. Just really enjoyed everything about the course. Highly recommend if you haven’t been.
Thank you for your kind words! We hope to see you again at the course very soon for another 5-star experience. Thanks for choosing Coyote Ridge Golf Club.
Great course for the money!
Mostly wide fairways and great course layout. Not too short or narrow but also challenging enough to test your game a bit. Many bunkers were under repair when we played but all in all it’s was great!

Great Course
One of the better courses in DFW. Greens are just the right speed. The two times I’ve played we’ve never been backed up on the course and both times were the weekend. The Local Golf Pro even jumped in and played with us. Overall great experience.

Quality & Price
Nice overall conditions. They are finally starting to get the bunkers rebuilt. Maybe 50% have been rebuilt so far. The new sand is high quality, granular, not-powdery. Makes hitting properly with good spin control possible.
Greens and fairways were mostly in good shape. I’ll be happy to return again soon.

Great course layout
Nice course, on course conditions should improve as the course accepts more rain. First time playing the course, knowing the layout would have been helped to stay away from trouble.
