About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Don’t play here
Gross negligence on the greens. Might be the worst kept greens in DFW. If you want to feel like you wasted $80 after your round, this is the place for you.
Harder than it looks
Well maintained and pretty tough course. Gotta be good off the tees. Super happy with pace of play, 4 hour round.

Golf Course Great
Golf course itself is great. Greens seem to have been punched recently but tee boxes and fairways are in good shape. Challenging layout for sure. Need to fade and draw the ball to score.
The facilities are being remodeled apparently so it’s a bit off putting but I’m sure once complete it will

Another great time!
Had a day off before school gets back going Wednesday. I figured I'd play a round at one of my favorite courses across DFW. It was hot & windy, but the course played well & I shot a 87. It was fun showing my son the ropes as he drove the cart - of course. I will be back soon!

condition of greens
They just aerated the greens but didn't discount the rate. I understand why they do it, but telling me to just count 2 putts is not the solution.

Ok - Kind of quirky
Layout is a bit odd, lots of shot shaping. Fairways were good, but tee boxes and greens were average at best.

Rough start- great finish
1st time there so naturally I had a few quick questions like "do you have a range, if so where" and "where's the 1st tee box" and finally "can I get my cart key"? The person that was in charge of all of these answers on this day barely spoke English. The only thing he could say clearly was "no cart until tee time". After getting past this one and only (yet major) hurdle then it was great. Super amenities, free range balls, range with yardages posted. Chipping green and putting green all next to each other. Carts are quiet and equipped with GPS and above average cushion seats which you never care about until you actually have it and it's a game changer. The greens look to have been recently punched so i had a few GIR that took some interesting 1st and 2nd bounces but they still rolled pretty true. This course, in my opinion, is taylormade for lower handicaps. If you don't know your yardages for every club then you're in for a long day. If I had to compare it to another local course I'd say it emulates Texas Rangers golf course in Arlington, TX. Lots of sand and holes where you will need to shape your shots. I was lucky enough to post a 77 from the blues. I'll definitely go again and hold my breath for a reasonable starter.

Great shape No Cart Girl on Back 9
Great shape however they normally tell you when they’ve punched/sanded the greens, they were still recouping. Would have been 5 stars however we didn’t see a cart girl on the entire back 9 and it was 105 w/heat index. That needs to change and from a business perspective I feel like they are losing out on easy money with the heat.

punched greens, course in good shape
the bar and clubhouse area is usually a positive but it looks like they are remodeling...they have a trailer set up to take your money etc.....the greens are punched so as of late july - it looks like it will be a few weeks before up and rolling.....fairways and rough were in good shape...had fun

Coyote Ridge Amenities
The golf course was great! Driving range was closed, had rained that morning. Clubhouse is being remodeled therefore the bar and guys taking money were outside. My only gripe is if you are going to charge full price then have full amenities. I will play it again as I really liked the lay out….
