About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.
Coyote Ridge Golf Club's back nine rolls through an abandoned rock quarry along the Trinity River, featuring more trees and elevation changes.

Pace of Play
The course has Marshall's on hand and it does mo good.
I have never finished a round under 5 hours, a few times I just left for a few reasons.
1. The course letting groups of 5 or 6 go out.
2. Marshall not pushing groups- when I got to a high point, there were 2 or 3 holes empty in front groups on the front and back nine.
3. Players oblivious to that fact that there is noone in front of them for 2 holes yet there are 2 groups waiting on them.
I really had hoped things had changed since I last played
But the pace of play is HORRIBLE for the price.

Save your money
I rarely submit a review for anything,
but this course requires a comment
as I was charged $95 a round, but it
is worth about $50. There are many
courses in DFW significantly better?
so save a few dollars and play one in much better condition.

Clubhouse id under remodel/repairs. Still provided a great burger and drinks. Course was great!

Great round for a beautiful day
Coyote ridge was in great shape today. Plenty of room on the range, tee times not overbooked, and the staff did a great job making it enjoyable even though the club house was closed due to flood damage from the winter weather.

Club House Closed
Be aware, and check before you arrive, the club house, grill etc. was closed due to storm / water damage. They did have water on the course, but no food or cart girl during a mid week round. I heard on the weekend they set up a grill after 9 and had cart service.
Course is greening up and looks like they were cutting back a lot of vegetation.

Disappointed
8am tee time and they are stacked up on the first tee. Slow pace. No grass around the greens

First time
Course is tight and a challenge for those of us that don't hit the fairway consistently. Course Amenities is tough to rate since the clubhouse was basically destroyed from the freeze.

Greens were lightning fast. May be time of year! Range was closed. Clubhouse is being remodeled.

Course review
The driving range is small. Not a lot of room to hit balls. Excellent pitching and putting area. The course itself, for the time of the year, was in great shape. Pace of play was slow. We started at 3PM and were waiting at every tee box. I would play this course again because it was in great shape.
