About
Coyote Ridge Golf Club, opened in 1999, features some unusual holes that traverse a variety of unique terrain. Each nine is strikingly different -- the front plays through a burgeoning residential community, is generally wide open and void of trees, and takes on the characteristics of a links-style course.
Water comes into play six times on the front, including the extremely difficult ninth hole, which doglegs left around a lake that stretches all the way around the green. Survive the tee shot by bailing right if you have to, but consider laying up on the approach since the water bends all the way around and surrounds the green on three sides. You’ll still have the chance for an up-and-down par, and playing for bogey is much better that rolling into the turn after a double-digit disaster.
Also on the front, No. 7 is a fun par 3 because of the 70-foot drop in elevation. The tee shot goes 165 yards over water into a very wide, challenging green.

Great Day - Greens Too Fast For Most Golfers
I’ve always enjoyed the greens, but this fall and winter they are too fast and the pin placements were frequently on the crown of the green or on a slope. I’m a mid-80s player and I was putting defensively all day to try and not 3 putt.
Either look for more favorable pin positions or slow them down a bit so the vast majority of your clientele can enjoy the round and not be frustrated with the greens.

Amazing course, needs a marshall

Rude golf pro. Greens were like putting on a pool table. Call Lynn advance to inquire about driving range and was told that they did have a driving range. Got there 15 minutes later and no balls available. Ask golf pro while checking in to buy some extra tees and he rudely said tees are in the golf cart. There were a total of eight tees in the golf cart!Same service every time I have played there. Won't go back.

This course has gotten super expensive and i don’t see the added value. For the price the pace of play should be better and the greens should be better. But if you can get a deal on price it’s 100% worth playing

Favorite Course
I have been in Texas now for 10 weeks, playing golf while my wife is at the office. I have played about 6 different public, private and semi-private courses. Coyote Ridge is the one course I keep going back to play.
The holes are all challenging. The greens are fast and roll true. The pins can be put in some precarious places, to say the least. The par three's are all a unique challenge.
The practice areas are nice, good driving range, chipping area and practice green which are all conveniently located by the first tee.
The club house is nice with a full service restaurant inside with sandwiches available at the turn if you chose.
My only complaint is that I've yet to break 80 in this trek. I'm going to keep going back until I do.

Fun and challenging layout!
This was my first time playing Coyote Ridge. Definitely won’t be my last. It’s harder than it appears. Course was in great condition and the layout was fun. Greens are very fast. Lots of big bunkers on every hole. Definitely need to place your shots strategically. Love that the range balls were complimentary. Pro shop staff was very friendly. Since there were no yardage markers on the course, the cart GPS came in very handy. Great course!

Great Course
Great course! Pro Shop and restaurant top notch. Enough sand to be challenging but not a factor on every hole. Same with water. Several holes around a large water feature putting water in play and forcing you to make a decision. The fairways are stiff and balls will roll far for distance but will also run straight into trouble. The greens were too quick at times but they were in great shape so not a complaint. Several beautiful par 3s shooting down into a large green to help the card. Highly recommend and will be back.
