About
Alsatian GC is an 18-hole with water in play. Front side fairly open and flat, almost links type play. Hole 2 surrounded by waterways and bunkers. Back side is hilly and has lots of trees. Super finishing hole with a tree in center of uphill fairway.
Throughout the course you will find challenging and beautiful fairways lined with trees and Spanish Dagger. The course also offers distance wedge game range, practice bunkers, three-level putting green, and a pre-round putting green.
Lodging: The Alsatian Inn is located approximately two miles from the club. A very nice facility, it has ninety rooms, a swimming pool, and a really good restaurant. Children under the age of fourteen stay free.
Distance: About 30 minutes from downtown on Highway
90 West to Castroville. But worth the trip.... Take Highway 90 West through Castroville; turn right at the blinking light just past the Alsatian Inn; veer left on CR 4516. Course is 2.5 miles down on the right.

Bumpy greens
The course was great but putting was really tough. The greens were punched two days ago so I think they will be great in a week or two
Worth the Drive
You get a resort course at Municipal course prices. Definitely worth the drive out there. They did a great job taking care of the course.

Fun Course
Every time I play this course we enjoy and have fun. It’s minutes away from San Antonio. The Resturant has delicious food and cold beverages. Top five places I love playing.

Great little course to play in West San Antonio. Greens were well maintained and nice clubhouse.

Leisure
This is the perfect course to pick your confidence up, not that hard. Course conditions are great, pricing is fair, the restaurant has good food and ends with back to back par 5's. This course is more than a half-hour from where I live and there are plenty of other courses that are closer but this one is different. I just simply love it.
Great golf value
I have been playing Alsatian for long time, before the changes were made, the change really improved the golf course. My brothers and I play this course on regular basis thru the entire year, winter cold or scorching hot, that makes this course very challenging at times, but we really enjoyed it, the staff is always great and they do their best to keep the course in shape.
Course Still excellent
This was my second time playing the Alsatian , and was not disappointed. The staff was friendly as usual , I love this course & would recommend it to any golfer.

Alsatian was ok, not great, but the price was right
Course generally in good condition. Very wide open course, though dry creeks and ponds do come into play.
The course was not fancy nor have many distinguishing characteristics, but the price was right. You get what you pay for.
I walked and carried my bag, which was a mistake due to the hot, humid weather. The back 9 is hilly, so that made walking even harder. The course would be fine for walking if the weather was milder, or if I used a pull cart. My game completely deteriorated in last several holes....I'll take a cart next time if it's so hot.
We played in just over 4 hours, which isn't bad for Sunday mid-morning tee time.
Starters, clubhouse and snack bar people were all friendly and helpful.
