About
Alsatian GC is an 18-hole with water in play. Front side fairly open and flat, almost links type play. Hole 2 surrounded by waterways and bunkers. Back side is hilly and has lots of trees. Super finishing hole with a tree in center of uphill fairway.
Throughout the course you will find challenging and beautiful fairways lined with trees and Spanish Dagger. The course also offers distance wedge game range, practice bunkers, three-level putting green, and a pre-round putting green.
Lodging: The Alsatian Inn is located approximately two miles from the club. A very nice facility, it has ninety rooms, a swimming pool, and a really good restaurant. Children under the age of fourteen stay free.
Distance: About 30 minutes from downtown on Highway
90 West to Castroville. But worth the trip.... Take Highway 90 West through Castroville; turn right at the blinking light just past the Alsatian Inn; veer left on CR 4516. Course is 2.5 miles down on the right.

Great course! Great value!
Course is in great shape. Pace of play perfect, greens perfect, price perfect. We really enjoy playing here.
Great time!
The staff is great, always trying to improve conditions and overall experience. The course is really starting to round into shape.
Horrible management!!
2 of us played here yesterday. Had a 3rd person riding that doesn't play. Paid for carts for 3 people and 2 green fees. We were waiting on people in front of us on the whole back 9. When we left we thought everything was good. Got a call today from the manager asking me about the 3rd person and if they played. I told her that he hit about 3 balls on the driving range. She said they had reports that all 3 of us were playing and that they can't keep the course open if everyone that plays doesn't pay. Will also be hard if you accuse customers of wrongdoing that they didn't do! I was hung up on when I said I won't be back there to play if they want to accuse me of this! I don't know who would have called in and said this since he didn't play and no one was waiting on us but whoever did is a liar! I don't know how you call and question customers on this? A real course would have a marshal making sure this doesn't happen. Especially on a weekend. We have played this course a lot in the last few years but will never go back again after this!

Course was very well maintained from the Tee Boxes to the greens. Fairly easy course, good for all experience levels.

a fun course
We have played the Alsatian for years and it has always been a fun and moderately priced course. It is always in good shape and a fun track.
Alsatian is always great to play
We play Alsatian as often as we can. The course is just tough enough, but playable for all experience levels. Course is always in good condition and the staff is friendly.
Great value
This is a really good course for the price. My only issue is that there is always a group or two that are very slow and won’t let other players play through.
Friendly people
The course is somewhat challenging and the people who work in the pro shop along with the starter are great. The second green does need to be replaced.
Great experience
Staff makes Alsatian a positive golfing experience. A real value iwhich is accessible from San Antonio proper and plays in a relaxed atmosphere.
Great course BUT
Course is in great shape......Unfortunately we got behind a foursome that would not let us play thru although there was two holes open ahead of them.. I did see a ranger on the course... but no where to be found when needed.....waiting every shot every hole is not fun!
