About
Alsatian GC is an 18-hole with water in play. Front side fairly open and flat, almost links type play. Hole 2 surrounded by waterways and bunkers. Back side is hilly and has lots of trees. Super finishing hole with a tree in center of uphill fairway.
Throughout the course you will find challenging and beautiful fairways lined with trees and Spanish Dagger. The course also offers distance wedge game range, practice bunkers, three-level putting green, and a pre-round putting green.
Lodging: The Alsatian Inn is located approximately two miles from the club. A very nice facility, it has ninety rooms, a swimming pool, and a really good restaurant. Children under the age of fourteen stay free.
Distance: About 30 minutes from downtown on Highway
90 West to Castroville. But worth the trip.... Take Highway 90 West through Castroville; turn right at the blinking light just past the Alsatian Inn; veer left on CR 4516. Course is 2.5 miles down on the right.

Great course
First time playing here and really enjoyed the layout and the fact that it can be fun for all skill leaves. Some holes of course are easy layouts and others require you to know the knowledge of your club distances. Loved it
No warning
No warning posted on golf now about greens being punched. Greens were unplayable wasted a day driving 35 miles to play this s course.
Nice layout
I enjoyed playing this course. It was fairly long even from the golf tees. Greens were hard and a bit bumpy.
Nice track
Very nice layout, conditions currently are really nice. Great course for short hitters or senior players. Very friendly staff from the Pro shop to the restaurant. Recommend highly.
Great course
I love this course. Even after over 5 inches of rain 2 days before the course was as pristine as ever. The greens are some of the best in the San Antonio area. The staff is always friendly and the updates they are doing to the club house will bring me back more than ever.
Great course
A great course... nice driving range and the staff is very professional. Challenging course with well positioned hazards.Highly recommend and a good value for the price.
The manager is extremely rude
The course has a nice layout, but the greens are in poor shape due to a hail storm two years ago. The management is rude and abrasive. The marshal told us to go off the back because they had just sent out four groups of five. Yes, I said that right. Later in the round a young man can to us a told us not to listen to the marshal and that we should have come back into the club house instead. That's a new one on me. Laura the owner suggested we had lied and that the marshal never told us to go off the back. Luckily we had witnesses. We demanded a refund on our membership. We have never experienced such service.
Worth the drive
I am on a mission to play as much golf as possible this year & this is a Course I will play again & again ;)))
Mowers
I found it odd that the guys cutting the rough around golfers did not turn off thr mower while we were teeing off. Most courses tell their mowers turn off while around golfers playing. Should your guys do the same.
Wonderful Staff
Had a bad winter and yet the course was in very good shape; especially the bunkers. As soon as you enter you are always greeted with a smile and great hospitality. They always go out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. They even recently had a fire and started getting everything fixed up again. They had a BBQ pit going since the grill is not open to ensure you don't go hungry. The grill will open soon! Wish it were closer - I'd play more often.
Fun little course
Greens a little rough but fun. Very short course and all par 5s reachable as well as a couple par 4s. Atmosphere is nice and is a good confidence builder. Would definitely recommend. Has a home type atmosphere and staff was very friendly

Every story has two sides. They were not told by the marshal to off the back either. Theses guys wanted to go off the back, so they did. They were rude to the staff.
