About
Alsatian GC is an 18-hole with water in play. Front side fairly open and flat, almost links type play. Hole 2 surrounded by waterways and bunkers. Back side is hilly and has lots of trees. Super finishing hole with a tree in center of uphill fairway.
Throughout the course you will find challenging and beautiful fairways lined with trees and Spanish Dagger. The course also offers distance wedge game range, practice bunkers, three-level putting green, and a pre-round putting green.
Lodging: The Alsatian Inn is located approximately two miles from the club. A very nice facility, it has ninety rooms, a swimming pool, and a really good restaurant. Children under the age of fourteen stay free.
Distance: About 30 minutes from downtown on Highway
90 West to Castroville. But worth the trip.... Take Highway 90 West through Castroville; turn right at the blinking light just past the Alsatian Inn; veer left on CR 4516. Course is 2.5 miles down on the right.

I joined their weekend started and his golf partner. They were fantastic company and helped me navigate the course.. conditions were excellent and pace of play was perfect.

Fantastic course all around
An amazing course great condition. The staff was friendly and amazing. The pace of play was a little slow because well they had a couple of five sons ahead of us, but that was just a normal day of the week I guess from what I’m told. All in all I love this course.

From 1st tee to 18th the experience is always great!
Greens are in great shape, fairways are always cut perfectly and the views in the afternoon are Amazing!
Julianna’s being there is a huge plus, no better place to enjoy golf and exquisite cuisine after your round!

I call this my home course.
I have been playing this course for many years. Lately in the past couple years I have seen this place improve in quality to the point of being impressed. Keep up the good work crew and I will see you soon.
Wonderful course
Alsatian is one of my top 3 in the San Antonio area. The course is in great shape despite the summer long drought. My only issue was the state of the greens. Inconsistent height of the green’s grass made putting a bit of a challenge.

1st Tee to 18th Green
From 1st Tee to 18th Green, Course was in Great Shape. Hats off To Grounds Crew, you would never know this part of Texas has been in a minor drought. Fairway’s in excellent condition, not cut super low as I’ve experienced around San Antonio Area (above my pay grade to understand) which makes no sense to me, especially during drought season. Greens in excellent conditions, no brown patches whatsoever, all GREEN, nicely rolled! Clubhouse Burger Great To Top Off Great Round.

Improved condition
Course was in much improved condition and greens were much better after rains. Enjoyed the round and pace of play.
Thank you for the awesome review. Yes the rain helped the entire course tremendously. We have verticut the greens and double cut and rolled them. We also closed for an entire day to double cut the fairways and tackle the rough. It's strange how a couple of inches of rain helped the course so much.
Great course.
Course was in great shape despite heavy rain the day before. Was cart path only for that reason.
