About
Alsatian GC is an 18-hole with water in play. Front side fairly open and flat, almost links type play. Hole 2 surrounded by waterways and bunkers. Back side is hilly and has lots of trees. Super finishing hole with a tree in center of uphill fairway.
Throughout the course you will find challenging and beautiful fairways lined with trees and Spanish Dagger. The course also offers distance wedge game range, practice bunkers, three-level putting green, and a pre-round putting green.
Lodging: The Alsatian Inn is located approximately two miles from the club. A very nice facility, it has ninety rooms, a swimming pool, and a really good restaurant. Children under the age of fourteen stay free.
Distance: About 30 minutes from downtown on Highway
90 West to Castroville. But worth the trip.... Take Highway 90 West through Castroville; turn right at the blinking light just past the Alsatian Inn; veer left on CR 4516. Course is 2.5 miles down on the right.

Course is very playable
As a novice I really like the forgiveness of Alsatian. It’s fun to play and the staff is great.

Good value but tee times mismanaged
Had difficulty getting started on time. The Marshal left the 1st hole for over 30 minutes waiting for the foursome ahead of us then rushed us through our round because of the backlog. I hate to be rushed.
Pacing was very good.We finish it with almost four hours.The course was in perfect condition. I will definitely recommend this to my friends.Staffs were friendly.

Nice Course
Several of the holes are a little short which is nice if you are not a scratch golfer and bomb the ball. However, there are several longer par 3's and 4's so it is still challenging. The fairways and greens were in much better shape than some of the more expensive courses I've played in San Antonio.

Wonderful golf course
Alsatian once again delivered a wonderful afternoon of golf. Fairway are green and filling in nicely. Green look amazing and rolled really good, overall the golf course is awesome.
