Stonebridge at Newport

Got to play with nice lady name Lynn from Canada but course conditions in need of some loving! Greens inconsistent - staff lawn on tee box for 14 of 18 holes and did not stop mowing while we teed off.

Nice course layout - only really too driver out once’s. Yardage long but course played short bc of how hard grounds were -

I have been playing here for a number of years, I believe this used to be a private club back in the day (Newport Country Club) so the layout itself is really nice . The owners have definitely stepped it up over the past couple of years, the course is in the best shape it's been in years, even with the recent freeze. This is a good course for anyone due to the various tee boxes. The Par 5's are a lot of fun and there are some challenging holes, especially #9 (tough). A lot of risk/reward type holes and #18 is a great finisher. The carts are pretty new and really nice. The course really needs to be marshaled on most weekends, that is my only criticism but the pace of play on 2/27 was perfect. We started at 12:33 and got about 34 holes in before dark. Definitely a place to recommend. Price is right for us senior golfers and easy to get tee times. Need to keep the local kids off of the fairways while people are playing.

At no fault to the course management, The greens were freeze damaged, but hopefully they will recover. Pace of play was very slow, A marshal would be very beneficial. Carts were clean & ran well. It’ll be nice when water & bunker rakes are back in place.

I enjoy this golf course and am glad to see it keep improving as they try to get it better each time I come. Greens are dormant due to winter that is a given. Pace of play is busy on weekend like most places but I am in no hurry. Marshalls are visible and they are only there Fri-Sun. I have played during the week and its good time to play but a lot of walk ons. Staff is very friendly in the grill and shop staff is great. New Head Pro and the current Superintendent are doing a great job. Keep up the good work.

Fun course however no Marshall. The course is in a neighborhood and the residents treat it as if it’s their own. There were people rolling up on lifted carts rushing our foursome the lack of golf etiquette was unfortunate.

A nice layout with a good variety of holes. Dormant bermuda greens rolled pretty well. Fairway grass very thin but that's fairly normal for this time of year.

The greens, bunkers & fairways were in decent condition. Several areas of the cart path need repair. Golf cart was clean & ran good. Marshall was visible several times while I played. It’s annoying that members can show up anytime in the early morning without a booked tee time & start playing. It’s a regular occurrence here. I like this course & hope they keep improving the course & procedures.

That would had gave me 2 birdie. So I know the Green aren't what we use 2! U make it do what it do! Am

Thirsty to get out and play!

Nice course. However, very slow at the cash/registration, and got out 45 min late (which causes problems with the family). Should have someone on the course pushing golfers to avoid delays.
