Great course for the price!
This is a short course that challenges you to use some strategy off the tee. Lots of 60° doglegs and the course is in good condition...soggy in some areas but you can see that the maintenance crew is addressing those areas.
Worth The Drive!
If you don’t mind a 30 min drive from 610, you’ll be rewarded with this beginner-friendly, well-manicured course! A single water feature (coming back into the clubhouse on 18) and wide, steep-angle doglegs make for a fun and forgiving layout. Pin placement on the par 3’s give you the confidence to get aggressive, and the wide berth of the par 5’s give way to birdie opportunities even with a less than ideal first and second stroke.
Couple of things to consider:
1) The course is quite flat - it could improve with a few more elevation changes.
2) You play through neighborhoods. Not out of the norm by any means.
3) Range balls are in limited supply. Our threesome had a 10:24 tee time and got there around 9:15 to get loose, only to find that they were already out of range balls for the morning. Personally, I prefer not to use the front nine to warm up.
4) We saw the beverage cart twice in 4’30” of play (we had a 5-some ahead of us that slowed our pace a bit). We were glad we stocked up with refreshments at the turn. That being said, the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful.
All in all, great course, especially if you get a “hot deal” tee time. Would play again!
Great time
The course is getting better and better, bunkers are getting better sand, greens are looking good. Fairways grass is improving the course is worth the money.
Interesting layout, greens and fairways generally in good condition with a few problem spots being addressed on the greens. Cart girl came by regularly and all staff were helpful and friendly. Good value, we’ll return!
Great course, great value
A little out of the way but is make the trip again. It’s a bit of a challenge so I’ll definitely be back to try again
Great holes!
This course was very well spaced out and very fun with a challenge.

I have played this course for several years. The course is in the best condition I have ever seen it.
Staff issues
Staff is not overly helpful and maintenance ignores you on the course and will make you wait 10 minutes on a shot if they are on the hole rather than yield to paying customers as they should. Greens had a number of dead spots and course didn’t appear to drain very well at all
Course conditions are ok to good....
Greens had been much better. T boxes conditions have been nicer. I know COVID19 has folks not working but if the course is open for play it should be kept up, I understand they are probably seeing a lot of traffic but that’s a good thing.
First time playing. Course was in good shape. Had a hard time putting the tee in the ground very very hard. Ball would roll forever. Greens were rolling nicely some were hard and some were receptive. Good course for the money.
Time for maintenance
I played this course way back in the 1970's and did not remember much about it other than to know there is a lot more development there now than then.
I thoroughly enjoyed my round of golf on Sunday. The course played hard and fast with firm fairways and very firm greens. The greens putted true and were fast with a few areas of issue that have been addressed and some that need to be addressed. The main issue that I experienced with the greens is that there is an invasive grass, possibly crab grass but I don't know for sure, that dots many of the greens. While I am not a turf expert, and I am legally blind, even I can see that this is an issue that could be remedied and these greens would be some of the best in the Houston area. In my opinion, it is time to weed the greens, aerate, dress, and fertilize AND at least aerate the fairways with some fertilization as well.
This course is about an hours drive from my home But I would return to play again. I hope I am not overly critical of the conditions as this is a good fun course to play. The carts are great with two USB ports on the passenger side. The practice facilities are good. the snack bar is well stocked and quick and friendly. Each hole has a sign showing the hole layout . All in all a good place that could be really good.
Golf Now Booking
Pulled up golf course online and was directed to chose a tee time with Golf Now Website. Booked and paid for 3 Golfers. Arrived at course with two golfers. Stonebridge would not refund money. Will never use Golf Now again. A rip off.
Green are in really good shape, as well as the rest of the course. There are some tough holes and holes the give you confidence. I enjoy playing out here and will continue to play this course.
