Had a good time.
It was nice to get back on a course I’ve been familiar with. Very relaxing and was a nice 4th of July day.
Never again! Completely out of control!
I said in my previous review that I probably wouldn't come back. But the rest of my group talked me into it. Now they're with me - we're never going back. First, we had to wait for 2 little girls hitting tennis balls to their dog in the middle of the #2 fairway. One of our guys had to drive down and ask them to get out of the way, while their mother yelled at him for asking them to get off the golf course. Then for the second time, we couldn't finish our round because the same fishermen (kids) as before were blocking the approach to the #18 green again. We got the same smart aleck remarks and same finger as last time. We started to try to hit over them but were afraid that we might hurt them. But we won't have to worry about that any more because none of us will ever be back.
And by the way - now the greens are infested with weeds and are getting bumpy. The joy at Stonebridge never ends! Except that it has for us!!
Course is fair, but out of control
The only reason this course gets any stars al all is that the greens are improving. The sand traps have been pretty good for several years. But the fairways are thin and sparse in a lot of areas and most of the tee boxes are rock hard and mostly dirt. The 150 yd marker posts were recently moved, which would be good except they are all off, some by 10-12 yards and all by at least 4 yards. Hitting the wrong club doesn't help pace of play, which is already way too slow. Nice try, extremely poor execution. The fairway marker plates are more accurate, but most are completely grown over. And to the point of out-of-control, its obvious that they don't have marshals. People drive over tee boxes, park almost on top of tee boxes, and park on the edges of greens. Besides that, you almost always see bike riders, strollers, dog walkers, scooters, joy riders, etc. on the cart paths. And the topper -- a couple of days ago I couldn't finish my round because fishermen were blocking the approach to #18 (not the first time that has happened for sure). I yelled at them - no acknowledgement. I went down and asked them to move. Only got smart aleck remarks and the finger. I have tried to give this course the benefit of the doubt but I'm probably not coming back.

Good course to play
Greens, fairways & bunkers were in good condition. Cart paths need repair & an active Marshal would be nice to see since play pace was very slow.
Course closed
Evidently the course never contacted Golfnow and on every other Monday the course is closed until 1030. I have a 0809 tee time. So I drive 30 minutes away and have to wait 2 1/2 hours and maybe get on the course. Unacceptable!
Great course for the price!
This is a short course that challenges you to use some strategy off the tee. Lots of 60° doglegs and the course is in good condition...soggy in some areas but you can see that the maintenance crew is addressing those areas.
Worth The Drive!
If you don’t mind a 30 min drive from 610, you’ll be rewarded with this beginner-friendly, well-manicured course! A single water feature (coming back into the clubhouse on 18) and wide, steep-angle doglegs make for a fun and forgiving layout. Pin placement on the par 3’s give you the confidence to get aggressive, and the wide berth of the par 5’s give way to birdie opportunities even with a less than ideal first and second stroke.
Couple of things to consider:
1) The course is quite flat - it could improve with a few more elevation changes.
2) You play through neighborhoods. Not out of the norm by any means.
3) Range balls are in limited supply. Our threesome had a 10:24 tee time and got there around 9:15 to get loose, only to find that they were already out of range balls for the morning. Personally, I prefer not to use the front nine to warm up.
4) We saw the beverage cart twice in 4’30” of play (we had a 5-some ahead of us that slowed our pace a bit). We were glad we stocked up with refreshments at the turn. That being said, the staff was extremely welcoming and helpful.
All in all, great course, especially if you get a “hot deal” tee time. Would play again!
Great time
The course is getting better and better, bunkers are getting better sand, greens are looking good. Fairways grass is improving the course is worth the money.
Interesting layout, greens and fairways generally in good condition with a few problem spots being addressed on the greens. Cart girl came by regularly and all staff were helpful and friendly. Good value, we’ll return!
Great course, great value
A little out of the way but is make the trip again. It’s a bit of a challenge so I’ll definitely be back to try again
