Stonebridge at Newport

The course was well maintained & enjoyable. No flag pins on greens make it tough, but I sent in a Covid approved idea to keep the pins in without having to touch them. Carts were clean & worked well. Greens need a little extra attention, but were decent overall.

FYI the flags have been removed to prevent multiple player touching them. All the holes are cut in the center with the cups reverse.

I have played this course multiple times over the years. Since the new greens were installed in 2019, it's in great shape and a fun course to play! The staff is always super helpful and friendly too.

The hog damage was greatly reduced! Course was in good condition, carts were clean & fast, greens were good & smooth, water stations were stocked. Needed a Marshal for pace of play. Will be back.

All together is a great course...

The greens were in great shape for this time of the year. Other than one or two bad spots which really don't affect the putting. It's great value for the money and highly recommend to play this course.

Newport is a nice setting in the woods. Course is quite diverse. I love it.

Played Saturday AM, a couple days after rain

Pros:

Decent greens, not too busy, sharp dog-legs good for practicing draws/fades/lay-ups, affordable $, on course bathrooms, cart girl.

Cons: Water retention- Super Soggy! both times I've been, hog ruts, no 150yd center fairway markers, some rough/underwater cart paths.

Overall not a bad experience, but I don't think I'll make the drive back until it's good and dry.

Never saw anyone in front us or behind us played at 8am

Great round just range balls were $10 for a bucket of 30 balls.

Greens are starting to show decline & they’re fairly new. Course layout is fun to play. Cart path surface needs some repair. Hog damage is evident on almost every hole, but 18 (island). The hogs need to be liquidated!

I have waited to replay hearing greens have been redone but they were still in poor condition and some were suffering from erosion. Obviously they do not have a good greenskeeper. These “new” greens will not survive. For the value, it’s good to come and play and hack around but don’t expect good greens. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Course in good shape. Greens are new and a little slow, but playable.

The new greens looked great, until we got on them & saw they had standing water from late morning sprinklers. Seems like a timer would be a good idea & 2am would be a better time to soak the greens. Course was good other than that. Drink cart girl was very visible.
