Golf round
Finish round in 3 1/2’hours, no one was ahead of us and only one group behind us and didn’t see them after the second hole.
The course was in ok shape, booked on GolfNow for $28. Wouldn’t pay regular price of $45 plus tax.
What happened?
I am very hard pressed to leave a negative review anywhere I go, but I really feel I need to for this one.
Very, very poorly maintained. The tee boxes are in horrible shape and the greens might be even worse. It looks like carts have made literal mud pits on the tees boxes. There is unplayable areas in multiple fairways due to maintenance I would assume (although they’re not marked).
Not worth the money, and definitely nothing on this course to justify the price increases.

Course was in great shape for late Nov except for one green that needs a lot work! Well done Newport! Overall 4.5 stars
Great time!
Had a blast other than the pro shop worker that checked us in. He was rude and not very friendly. However the Marshall and starter made up for it.
Course not bad except greenside bunkers cost strokes due to hard ground under 1/4" - 1/2" of sand in most.
Always a bank
Course in good condition for fairways and greens, some t- boxes are a bit firm. Staff friendly layout with a lot of variable challenges
SPRINKLER TIMERS???
I like playing this course for several reasons, but I get tired of dodging active sprinkler heads, sloppy water puddles & spggy greens. Why can’t Newport staff water the course before players arrive?? Am I the only one that has a problem with this issue?
Good time
Another good course in the greater Houston area. Nice layout, rough was a tad thick but nothing crazy. Def will go again.
