Stonebridge at Newport

First time here, thought I’d give it a try. Slow play, course layout and conditions were pretty basic/average. Won’t be back.

Pretty, tree lined fairways. Lots of bunkers - I found many of them! In decent shape. Some bad spots on the greens, but overall better than some other nearby courses. Fairways are hard and a little thin, but not bad. Low shots will roll a long ways. Tee boxes are hard as rock. This course is a nice challenge with interesting hole layouts. I'll be back.

The course was pretty good. House lined fairways for most of the holes. Fairways not bad. Greens were ok. Not sure if weather had anything to do with the conditions of the greens but some had tiny grass islands that made the greens bumpy when putting . Over all not bad. Would come and play again. Even for the hour drive.

Newport is a bit of a drive but for the Hot Deal price, it was worth the drive. The course layout is great, no complaints there, The tee boxes are quite firm and your tee may protest. The fairways are mostly ok condition, some spots better than others. The greens need a lot of help. There are about 4-5 that have bald spots and weeds than don’t provide a smooth putting surface. For the price I paid, I will return but this is a nice course and just needs some TLC.

The greens are as good as I've seen them in years. Overall the course is in good shape.

The grass is good condition.

The rough and bunkers are well maintained.

Solid outing with friends, it had rained the day prior but the course was still playable, once the greens dried up it they weren’t in bad shape other than some weeds on a couple holes causing the ball the jump.

Course is not too bad. They just perforated the fairways. The greens roll on the slow side. Some of the greens have a fair amount of crab grass that makes putting feel like playing Plinko.

I had to wait on every hole to hit but still managed to play in just over 4 hours. I’ll go back and give it another try in a few months to see if the course has improved.

Greens were not in great shape, but rest of course was above average.

Haven’t played there in a couple of years but was pleasantly surprised.

Course condition was very good for this time of year.

Surprised there weren’t many players, but that was a plus for us, nobody in front nobody behind us.

Appreciated the cart service and clean restrooms also.

Will return ASAP.

Course was in terrible condition, couldn’t see your ball on the fairway because there were so many leaves and branch branches. Wouldn’t recommend.
