About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

Golfer Reviews
Mixed Review
The layout of the golf course is tremendous. A great test of your irons and short game with interesting and scenic par 3s.
The greens had been recently aerated, which is absolutely necessary for fast, firm greens. My complaint is that there was zero notice or courtesy of informing our group about the status of the greens. While it would not have made a difference as to our golf outing, knowing this would have been appreciated.
Lastly, our round took 3 hrs AND 32 minutes. This was caused entirely one foursome (2 groups in front of our 10:20am, Friday sept 3rd )
As the second group waiting on the 13th tee, we could see this foursome playing very slow and taking pictures while the following groups waited. From this vantage point , we could see this group stickhandling around the 13th green. We also could see no others golfers on 14, 15, 16, with a group ON THE GREEN on 17.
When looking for a course ranger or marshal to help alleviate the problem, there was no ranger on the course. A call to the ProShop from one of our playing partners failed to activate a ranger to look into the situation. This was very disappointing from an established golf course than markets itself to quick rounds of challenging executive length golf only minutes from the city.
A Nice Executive Course
This is a nice course, in great shape. My group plays early so when we were done we were unable to get beer and food. Something that should be able to get. Other than that we had a great time.
Excellent Course
The course is well maintained and the staff are both friendly and helpful. There are a lot of short holes but it is definitely a fun challenge.
It was a little disappointing that the restaurant area wasn’t open for lunch following the round, it would have been nice to grab a drink and a bite to eat after a hit round of golf.
Greenskeeper Interference
We were followed around from green to green by the greenskeeper who was repairing the divots. He stood on the green and watched while players putted and also gave putting advice. He held groups up and was not providing space for the groups to play uninhibited.
This was completely unacceptable to be out there during prime time of play interfering with players. Where is the golf etiquette??? SO WRONG, and not professional!
Sick of this cart pricing
The course is great and really well kept. Pace was fine. Only problem was this idiotic cart pricing that started with covid. I took my 74 year old dad out to play today and they charge $52 for the round each, and then $17 PER RIDER if you want a cart which meant one cart costed us $32. So the round for the two of us came out to a bit over $155... for a par 3 course....
Sick of this cart pricing
The course is great and really well kept. Pace of play was fine. But I’m getting sick of these courses charging on a per rider basis for carts. I took my 74 year old dad out today and it was brutally hot so we wanted to ride. Only problem was, they charge $17 per rider... so you’re paying $34 for one cart on a $52 round. So a round for 2 players and 1 cart for a par 3 course came out to $155....

Good Link style test for your irons
Put your driver away and polish up on your irons BEFORE you play here. They have an awesome range and practice putting green that'll take care of that. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Course is challenging and you must plan all your approaches if you plan on getting a decent score.
Well maintained, not good $ value
Used to play here a lot as it was close to home. Personally feel that it’s too expensive for only par 3’s and for only ever using irons. Pace of play is slow with no Marshall. However the staff is always nice and it is always well maintained, except for the ball marks on the greens that no one seems to repair. I now only play here when there is a deal.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Turnberry Golf Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
Somewhat disappointed
First time playing here and the pace of play was slow ( foursome in front of us where not mindful of pace of play and the marshals did not do anything to encourage them to speed up). The greens were in bad shape, lots of ball marks that were not repaired. And for an executive course, I’m surprise that golf carts were allowed, and that players where riding them through much of the course - tire makers were clearly visible.
On a positive note, the course was challenging if your played from the tips, but also forgiving and fun for newer and young golfers ( played with the family).
I’d considered going again, but I’m not rushing to play there again any time soon.
