Turnberry Golf Club
About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

Great course
Course was in good condition.. pace of play was quick. Great walking course.
Great spring round
Lovely day and not crowded due to Ontario “stay at home “ orders. But golf courses open. Go figure!
great value, great course
I've played Turnberry since they opened in 2010. The course was originally supposed to be a regulation length 18 so when it was announced that it was going to be a 'par 3 course', I was disappointed. Until I played it. And every time for the last 10 years. It is as challenging a course as any in the GTA and beyond. Always in great shape as well. Looking forward to 2021.
Great track
Living just around the corner, I’ve played over 100 rounds at Turnberry. The track is always in phenomenal shape and I never feel pushed or like I am playing up on the group ahead. The range and off-course amenities are that of a top notch facility. Since the ownership change a few years ago, I’ve noticed a difference in the staff and their overall demeanour, which is disappointing as that is just one of the many things I used to enjoy about playing here. Overall Turnberry is a great place to practice, play a round, have a beer, or enjoy a delicious. If you are looking for a pleasant conversation or a smile to start your round. Sadly short of Gerry the starter, you likely won’t find it here.
Overall score 9/10 for course and amenities, 4/10 for customer service
Thanks,
Jon
Use every club in your bag
Turnberry is the most difficult Par 3 course you can play. If you play from the Blues, every hole plays a different length and it will use every club in your bag. This is the perfect test of your club distances and your ability to hit the target. You will probably shoot the same score here you do on a full regulation course because the greens can be so difficult and on a windy day, this course can eat you up.
It's a physical test for a par 3 course.
Usually it's in great shape but if you ride, remember you can't go on the fairways except the two Par 4's (1 and 18) so you will be walking back and forth more than you think unless you hit the green.
Nice course...but pace of play maddening
Realize it is late in the year and was happy to get a time...but 3.5 hours for a par 56 mostly par 3 layout is a bit much. Waited at least 5 minutes on every hole.
Group ahead of us was waiting, so not sure exactly where the bottleneck was, or whether this is just typical at the course.
Too bad ..exciting layout, great shape, but could never get in a rhythm because of the slow play.
Amazing
I can’t believe how great the conditions of the course were. Simply amazing. However, no sausages after 18! Anyway, this is the best value in town for sure!
Challenging
I love playing Turnberry. It’s a quick 3hr round and offers a challenging layout. It’s a shooter’s course - be accurate and pick your spots or you’re in trouble!
