Turnberry Golf Club
About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

1 st hole par 4 Photo submitted by kyu462 on 06/09/2019
Very nice par 3
I was surprised with the quality of the course relative to the price. Obviously it's a par 3 but it is maintained and kept just as nice as eagle's nest. Some pretty challenging pin placements and greens in general. There were no blue tees when I played which would have been nice.
2020 First Round in Canada
Played with my 12 yr old son and another couple. First time at the course - excellent layout. The par 3's are challenging and tight. Rough is REALLY rough! The greens were challenging - but ran true. Overall considering only 2 par 4's and the rest par 3's - the challenge was still there. My son loved it - and we will be playing it again soon.
Enjoyable
Really enjoyed my round. Great course for your iron play.
Short and easily underestimated
This course is a short course and often scoffed at. A par 56 in Brampton?? Pffft.
If your shot off the tee isn't fairly straight, you will be losing a lot of balls. This is a mini Links style course and the rough is killer.
Greens are fantastic, fairways beautiful (Holes 1 & 18), and every hole has a unique challenge. I would say this is definitely not a beginner course, but if you want a fairly quick round, it's worthy of a try.
Turnberry Golf Course
This course is advertised as the "toughest par 3 course in Canada". I don't know about that but it certainly provides enough challenges - especially if you miss the greens. The rough is a combination of thick grass (3" - 6" tall) and then fescue grass which is everywhere. Historically, I have not played well at this course but today's round was much better than most. Credit that to combination of new clubs and better swing mechanics. Still learning new wedges which you need to have dialed in on this course. Only 2 par 4's (holes 1 and 18) but wish they had more. Most greens are quite large making them easier to hit but a challenge to putt. Lots of undulation. All said, an enjoyable day for what is likely the last game of 2019.
Turnberry
The course is very well maintained, although the fairways were very wet due to the heavy rains yesterday. It’s a great course to give your irons a good workout, since it’s a par 3 course. The holes are somewhat challenging, but also a lot of fun. The weather was fantastic today which made for a very great day for golf in late October!
Great Expereince
Hello I just wanted to reach out and write a quick review of the overall golf experience. Love playing this little gem, 16 par three are challenging. I mixed up the tee blocks rotatiing from blues to blacks in an effort to make it more fun. I play off five and have yet to break the 7 over mark. Leave the ball below the hole for those playing the first time. Lots of fun on the greens if you get above the the hole.
My palying partner is a my son, he is 7. What a great place for him to learn. I let him do lot's of do overs as the greens and chipping is a challenge for him.
Over all I give the course a 85 out of 100 for experince and playability. Great way to sharpen those iroins.
Staff is friendly, the boys in the shop are fine. They have a very nice restuarant and it's kid friendly. Great view of the course and the food is on par with any country club.
We will play this course often as we went around in three hours for 18 holes.
