Turnberry Golf Club
About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

1 st hole par 4 Photo submitted by kyu462 on 06/09/2019
Soggy but enjoyable
It had been raining and being early in the season, the course was water logged and stayed that way for the entire round.
It was my first time playing it and still enjoyed the course. Looking forward to playing it in better conditions.
Very scenic course.
The strange thing about the course in the lack of a turnaround at the clubhouse after hole 9
Beautiful little par 3 course
Beautiful course with an amazing design. Most pat 3 courses are very boring and every hole looks the same but this course is the exact opposite.
I’ll be back.
much better than I think
It's my first time to this club,. The course is beautiful and thr staff is so friendly. Evetything is gteat.
I believe it should not be my last time to be there.
Day at Turnberry
We had a good round at Turnberry, Brampton, close ride from Toronto. The course has two par 4’s and 16 par 3’s , overall par 56 and was found to be in great shape. The fairways and greens are very nice, the rough is tough and the feskew lush be prepared to replace your ball if you are in this stuff. We found the course very wet as it had rained early in the morning , it apppears the course is challenged to dry out. The staff is very nice including Jerry the starter.
We were disappointed we could not have lunch at the course after our round due to the restaurant being closed, found it strange ut opened at 5pm.
Challenging Round, Value for Money
Great course in great condition. Value is second to none. Really challenging short course, perfect for a day to get in a round but in less than 4 hours.
It may be executive but it's a challenge
Links style course with little room for error. Only 1 and 18 are drivable, the rest are all par 3's, but that doesn't mean they're easy. Narrow landing areas lead to deep pot bunkers and adjacent fescue trap slightly errant balls. Many of the greens are elevated so if you don't land on the green at the right point, your ball will roll well off.
Can be played in 2 1/2 hours if no waiting.
Great Challenge
Very walkable. Quite challenging. Played off of the blacks and used all clubs, but a 4 iron. Bunkers, mounding, water and contoured greens all add to the challenge of this course. Very enjoyable. Pace on a Friday afternoon was three plus hours as a walking single. Staff was very pleasant and helpful at the pro shop and starters desk.
Overall
Overall it is a good course, they had a promotion that was cheaper than golf now, but that's fine. This course is getting expensive for what it is, will be booking other courses going forward.
Cheers
good and moderate
playing this place was great. the weather was good!
Good course to work on your irons.
Challenging layout the greens make the short par threes tricky.
Needs a Marshall! Never playing Turnberry again
This was my first time ever ending a round before it was over,
I decided to go play Turnberry spontaneously, there were plenty of late afternoon tee time showing on GN, so I went. It was a nice afternoon, and I thought I would go and work on my par 3 game.
I teed off as a single, and caught up to a couple of groups that graciously allowed me to play through, proper golf etiquette.
I was moving along very nicely and finished 10, and walked up the hill to the 11th. When I arrived I found a 4 some on the tee, young guys, who had obviously jumped in on that hole. It was the first time I saw these guys. Because the jumped in, they were waiting to tee off. I held off saying anything (in hindsight I should of) and decided to wait.
They were decent golfers and were playing from the tips. A few times they decided to reload off the tee, which was adding fuel to my fire. I waited every hole thereafter and this caused a backlog behind me. Another single behind me decided to bail on the 14th.
By the time we got to 16, I had enough! 2 of them teed off and put balls in the water, and decided to reload!! One of these young man finally looked at me and asked me if I wanted to play through. That’s when I lost it, and told all 4 of them that what they did was wrong and that they not only slowed down and messed up my round, but also everyone behind me. I walked off the course at that point and complained to the pro shop.
I never saw a Marshall once during my round! I’m certain this happens at Turnberry regularly. I caution all of you to save your $50 for a course that has Marshall’s .
This was my first and last time playing Turnberry, and that’s a shame because if this hadn’t happened I would have played there again.
A true shame.
