Turnberry Golf Club
About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

1 st hole par 4 Photo submitted by kyu462 on 06/09/2019
Good course, friendly, knowledgeable staff.
I find this to be a very good, challenging and well maintained course. The staff are friendly, professional and they know their golf.
Excellent course
Played my first round here yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. The course is very challenging and is in great shape. The staff are wonderful and the facilities and food are great
Great course
The course was great overall in terms of conditions and provided a nice challenge for your short game. Would have liked to see more par 4s, but overall a good day out.
A great challenging gem
This was great course and very challenging. There was some hesitancy because of the number of Par 3's but it was a great golf experience and excellent value
Cart rental not worth $
Played Turnberry on wkend. Course was in good shape, it's a challenge for your "short game".
*only issue is > Golf cart rentals are Costly and because it's "cart path only", really not getting value of paying $36 extra bucks for the fee.
Overall a good course to play, BUT, dont waste extra $ on cart rental.
super nice - executive course
Course is kept in great condition.... only complaint was getting hit with the sprinklers
STARTS AND FINISHES WITH A PAR FOUR WITH THE BALANCE PAR THREES.
A challenging executive course built in an old quarry giving the holes a variety of vertical drop. A great workout for your short game. Lovely clubhouse with a cordial staff.
I will play thi corsse again.
The greens could be faster. Courteous staff.
I used all my clubs. Three hour to play.
Great par 3 course....excellent condition and facilities
Always love to play this course....great conditions, easy to get to, good view and food/service in the clubhouse.
Short but sweet
For an executive course, Turnberry turns out to be more challenging than you think.
The pace of play was slow through 9, but after some cordial groups allowed us to play through it was smooth sailing.
Windy Day at Turnberry
Beautiful Links-Style course. Very challenging "Executive" Par 3 course. The conditions were very windy and the course showed its teeth. Great greens and fairways. Great deal from GolfNow. Worth every penny!
Challenging short game
Although it is a short course, the approaches to the green are challenging with variety of lies.
short but very challenging, great for your iron work.
Course is a good test for any level of player. True target golf.
This course has all the challenges that you could ask for.
I liked this course very much, the greens were large with three distinct plateaus, bunkers verying in depth and each hole stood by itself. I will definately will play it again when the fescue is up and the wind is houling. Then it will remind me of Ireland
Course in great shape. However a lack of washroom facilities. Only one at #16 and it was closed. Very little tree cover.
Greens in good shape. A little long which slows them down but, it's to be expected early in the season.
Challenging Course- Accuracy rewarded
This is a great course to work your irons for accuracy to get on greens- greens are pristine
Great!
The course was great! The grounds are well maintained and the course looks beautiful. As a bit of a beginner, I had trouble on a few holes, but it's great for every level of player. A few tough greens but a lot of opportunities to get some great strokes in and target practice on the tricky Par 3s. Very rewarding to hit the greens off the tee shots on the 3s. Overall it was a great experience, a great course.
Entertainingly Unique
Greens in good shape, really challenging mix of par 3's.
It's all about position to score with undulation of greens.
A fantastic short-game course.
Great layout!! In mid-season has always been a 5-star course for conditioning, fairways and greens. This is the first week it has been open this spring and, while many of the fairways are somewhat wet, the greens are terrific.
Great for irons, fairwood, 3 wood, long putting
great course used driver on 1 and last hole - could use fairwood or even 3 wood on some holes - very undulating - green are great nice and large best greens I have played.
Only thing more signs on course for direction to holes.like arrows or something. Maybe in future they could have tees further out to make it longer I like the back 9 better
