Turnberry Golf Club
About
Turnberry Golf Club may not have the length of its sister course located only 20 minutes away, Eagles Nest, but it has the same challenging character and unique layout. Molded from abandoned quarries, massive outcroppings of earth were recreated to look like the seaside dunes of Eagles Nest. This 3,400-yard, executive layout has sparse vegetation, generous green complexes, and strategically placed bunkers. The golf course begins and ends with a long par 4 with an interesting variety of par 3s in between. Each hole was designed completely unique from one another to emphasize variety and playability. At Turnberry Golf Club, golfers will be forced to use every club in their bag.

1 st hole par 4 Photo submitted by kyu462 on 06/09/2019
A real test for your short game...
This course starts off with a par 4 for which is tough and
then you have 16 par 3's to test your short game.
The greens are fantastic, the fairways pristine and they
have the nicest sand traps. The problem giving this review
is I wouldn't get the great bargains offered. I paid $16 today
which is a huge steal....A must play for any golfer
Great day at turnberry
course was in great shape for Nov 18th. Extremely friendly and accomodating staff. very interesting design, easily the best par-3 course I've ever played.
Not-yer-average-excutive par 3 (mostly)
Nice short 18-holer with 16 par 3 holes of varying length, look and feel. A chance to use driver or 3 wood on the first and last, par 4s. As challenging as you want to make it with the various tee boxes. A very pleasant way to get in some golf in under 3 hours at a leisurely pace. Bunkers were in great shape even in mid-November when this was written. Nice clubhouse, too, for lunch.
this course has a great links style to it
the course has16 par 3s that are quite challanging with a little wind it makes club selection very interesting. The course is very walkable , it has a good flow to it with good size greens that where in great shape for this time of year. Staff was great came by a couple of times with tips. Went in for lunch staff was great and friendly, had a great day.
Lots of sand on the green.
Fairway condition is pretty good. Green... Not so much. There's lot of Sand on the green. You can even see the trail of the ball as it rolls over. It's actually the first time I didn't like the green condition. I guess it's the time of year.
Great Executive for both skill players and beginners
I only played Turnberry once this year but the round is just enjoyable. The course can easily been played in less than 3 hours. It is in excellent conditions. The first hole is tough as nail, yet the course can be enjoyed by beginners. Stop at clubhouse for a great meal, wine and beer.

Great Par 3 course
If you are looking for a challenging par 3 course then Turnberry is a very good option. You can easily play 18 holes in less than 4 hours.
Great executive course.
Turnberry Golf Course is a fun executive par 3 & 4. Great for both beginners and seasoned golfers looking to play a shorter round. Warning: on many holes if you are not precise be prepared to lose alot of balls! Nice to play during the shoulder season as leaves are not a concern. Course it meticulously maintained and clubhouse/restaurant is amazing.
Beautiful course !!
I was so happy to be welcomed with a smile and a warm cup of coffee!!
It was my first time on the course and I was alos alone. Great people and frindly till I left
Challenging
First time playing this course. It was alot more challenging than I expected. Worth the time.
Slow as molasses
For an executive course it took far too long to complete.
Went thinking it would take 3hrs to play ended up being 4.5hrs!! unacceptable
Fantastic course to work on your short game
A great course, condition fantastic, and greens are a real challnge, but I was dissapointed with the pace of play however! Get out early!
Excellent Short Game Course
Turnberry offers a wonderful variety of par 3's which you would see on any par 72 course. It tests your iron and short game play. The par 3's are well laid out and offer many different looks. Some need carries over water while others require shots over bunkers to reach the greens. Fun course to play. I brought my 15 year old son along who also enjoyed it. The shorter holes also allow you to play in less time. After the round the food was excellent. I also found it to be good value for your money.
Turnberry Golf Club
It was a beautiful day and I have a good time. The court is short but accuracy is critical. I chose to play on blue T to extend the distance a little more. The green is fast and tough, good for practicing short game.
The court is very well maintenance comparing to many courses that I have played. Staffs were very friendly and polite. The restaurant there have a beautiful view and the food is good and at reasonable price. I would come back and would recommend to my friends.
Best short course I've played
I have played Turnberry a number of times, and always enjoy my experience. Though you only pull driver out of the bag twice during the round (1st and 18th), the 16 par 3s provide ample opportunity to use every other club in the bag. The greens and chipping areas are always in great shape and provide a great deal of challenge. I love playing this course as a practice session for my iron play and short game. Many opportunities to get up and down from tough spots and you can always rely on the greens to roll true.
VERY ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE.
GREAT PAR 3'S. EXCELLENT CONDITION. FRIENDLY STAFF. NICE CLUBHOUSE WITH EXCELLENT FOOD.
Course is in pristine condition
This course is in pristine condition - it always is, just too bad it isn't longer. The fescue and rough are punishing, so keep the ball straight and hit greens to score well. Greens and tees are in GREAT shape and lots of water in play.
