About

Located in Carrabelle just minutes from the pristine white beaches of St. George Island and Cape San Blas, St. James Bay Resort boasts the only Audubon Signature Sanctuary golf course in the area. It's not an understatement to say that water is the course's most formidable feature. There are 15 lakes throughout the landscape that present a hazard on every hole. Towering pines and colorful flowers accent the scenic parkland as well. In addition to the natural hazards that have been seamlessly incorporated, bunkers were carefully added to strategic locations to make the course more challenging, but they still allow the landscape to truly shine. In addition to the golf course, St. James Bay offers a full practice facility with a driving range, a chipping green with a bunker, and two putting greens.

Excellent golf course. Not your conventional 2 or 3 shot venue. Requires forethought each hole as you play through and around the marsh. If you are below average player, it will be a long day

This is a great, challenging golf course

This is a great golf course. The fairways and greens were in great shape. It is a tight golf course with a premium on hitting to the right spots. In many cases the driver can be left in the bag. Do not go looking for golf balls because you might find more than you bargained for. The biggest draw back is that it is in the middle of nowhere and can be a little bit of a drive from certain areas. I did enjoy the views of the coast close by. I would definitely recommend this course.

Don't miss this perfect 10

The first drive requires a 180 yards carry over a preserved area. Welcome to St-James. The course was in perfect shape. Looks like nobody played it before. This is a very difficult challenge. Many holes have a preserve area to go over with your tee shot. And for a surprise, there is another one before reaching the green. No fairway meets another so you cannot miss right or left. A weak shot will end up in the preserve. Long is no option either. The toughest test of golf I have had since a long time. Bring some balls. I love challenges and I was mentally exhausted by the end of the day. But I spent a fantastic day. I will definitely be back. We have seen deers, alligators and wild pigs. Wow!
