About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Great time!
Shot my best round ever here! Gotta great deal thanks to GolfNow and made the trek down with some buddies from nashville. Driving range was a tight one, which matched many of the fairways. Greens were in great condition. My only problem was that there seemed to be 10 groups trying to tee off at the same time which caused a big line. We ended up asking to start on the back nine which solved our problem though. Overall it was a fun course and had an awesome time.
Great and very forgiving course
This was our first time playing this course and we were very impressed. It had been raining on and off this past week but the course was in great shape! There are minimal hazards on this course which was a nice surprise for those of us whose balls are drawn to water and sand. I only lost 1 ball on this course which was a record for me! We will be back!
Had a great round
Started out getting off to a 15 min ahead of schedule ttime 6:55 am dun by 11 am shot 42 on the front then the back got into tree trouble but the rock barriers need to go having to chip over those plus being behind trees just take a drop on line of flight save urself the headache ended with 48
Business Round
I hadn't played the course in some time but had heard that their had been a number of improvements made with a change in ownership. The club hours had a new outdoor seating area and fireplace added to it, their was a new set of drive through washrooms added to the back 9 and the Old wooden bridge on 9 had been replaced with a new stone version which was nicely done. The course it self had not changed in the several years I hadn't played there and in part due to the lack of rain the course was parched. The greens had been aerated about 3 weeks previously and where in good shape considering.
Beautiful course
This is one of my favorite local courses. It’s not usually too backed up and the scenery is beautiful. Greens were in much better shape that a month ago.
Rain throughout. Only got in 9 holes so not a good value. Course is a good layout and test on good weather days. Are refunds offered even though they kept the course open while it was raining ?

Course was in great condition. Absolutely beautiful too. Challenging but fun course.
As expected
First time playing here. Course was as I was told. Like the challenges of the trees line the fairways. Makes you plan your shot. Challenging course and ambulating greens lots of fun. Will definitely be back.
Nice but...
Fairways and greens are a little beat up. Other than that had a great time.
Great course…..first time playing there….need better signage as to where 1st tee/ 10th tee starts
