Cedar Crest Golf Club
About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Good course
It’s high priced for what it is. Dreadfully slow, but it was Saturday morning and cool. Not a bad course, just over priced.
Great value, always in great shape
I have golfed at cedar crest over 10 times now and it never disappoints. Course is really well maintained for the amount of play it receives. Course has a heavy emphasis of trees coming into play, which makes it challenging for some. Overall this is one of the regular courses I go to because of the consistency and layout.
Neat little course
We had to wait about 3 hours to tee off because of the rain but aside from some casual water on the fairways, the course was in great shape. Layout was fair and not as tight as I expected it to be. Greens were smooth and consistent. I would definitely play here again
Good golf play
Course conditions are better than before and the course is fun.
Needs Work
I wasn't in the best shape after a night of drinking so I knew I wasn't going to play well at all. However, my giant problem with the place was there was no Marshall. They also decided it was a good idea to let someone take their grandkids out on the course which held up absolutely everyone. Played the front in about 2 hours 20 minutes. and then holes 10 and 11 took 55 mins. It was brutal. On top of that it was Labor Day so we already knew it'd be slow. On top of that there was no cart girl coming around. I was dying for a beverage. We also had a guy come spray the greens as we were teeing off on every hole on the back which made it difficult to read putts. I'll be back eventually just not for a while.
Greens Conditions
Too many golfers fail to fix their pitch marks; resulting insevere ball mark damage.
Pretty nice course
Fairways have filled in nicely and the tee boxes are good. Only complaint is there isn’t near enough sand in the bunkers. It should be light and fluffy and raked, but it’s hard almost like hitting off dirt. Other than that, course was nice and clubhouse is much nicer. A little pricey for what and where it is.
Great course layout
Great course and fun to play, greens are soft, and the course gets a lot of play. I repaired about 3 ball marks on every hole. They should put more emphasis on this to players and maybe hand out cheap ball mark repair tools.
Too slow
After we started we were told cartpath only did not need to be that way. I would have left if I was informed about it
Doesn’t disappoint
This is my favorite course in Murfreesboro. Always well maintained and usually there’s a good pace of play. I play here when I can.
best kept secret
really loved playing here. so much my group is playing it again in a week. smooth and well-tended fairways and greens. only problem on greens was people not fixing their divots. beautiful setting. lots of shade areas to beat the heat. cart service available in numerous places on course. incredible. clubhouse amd porch.
Great course
Early morning tee time at 6:40 am with unusual 62 degrees in August which was wonderful.
There was 2 of us and able to play the course in 3 hours.
All of the grounds crew were extremely nice and cordial.
Will definitely return.
