About
Cedar Crest Golf Club in Murfreesboro sprawls across rolling farmland accented with groves of mature trees. The fairways on the front nine are wide open but they become narrower and tree lined on the back nine. The greens play fast and true and they are also well conditioned. There are not many sand traps to contend with but a smattering of elevation changes throughout the golf course cause an occasional uneven lie. Seasoned golfers looking for a challenge won't find it here but what you will find is a relaxed atmosphere that is ideal for a quick, casual round that is player friendly enough for beginners. In addition to the course, Cedar Chest Golf Club offers extensive practice facilities including a driving range and a two-tiered practice green.

Excellent course!
Great course on the out skirts of Murfreesboro. Challenging for the average golfer and course conditions were outstanding. All greens were in the best shape of any public course in middle Tennessee.
Impressed
This was a very nice community golf course. The facilities were really nice and staff overly friendly. I was most impressed by the condition of the tee boxes and paths. Unlike many mid price courses there were flowers, shrubs, ball washers, coolers, and colored signs at every hole. You could tell the course was well maintained and the owners took pride in their product.
Very Fun Value Course
Today was my first time playing the course. The course layout is nice and the course is fairly open so wayward shots are not penalized as much as other courses. Overall, it was one of the more enjoyable options in the Nashville area.
Great day
Another great day at cedar crest. Great group and pace of play was well with the exception of the back nine once again. I know it’s more narrow and requires solid shots and not everyone is a pro, but come on you gotta stay within shouting distance of the group in front of you and they didn’t. Otherwise, great round!!
Great round
Great afternoon round. Played with two sons and father and had a good time. Aside from spending almost two and a half hours on the back nine due to members of my group hitting two, three balls a shot or was enjoyable. Course was great!! Love the cart girls. They come around many times and it’s very pleasant and not in a weird way

Other than it taking 20 minutes to get off the 10th tee and pretty slow through the first 3-4 holes on the back it was great. Course in great shape and very nice. Well done overall

The course was very well maintained and the greens were “just right”. The back 9 were very tight and they were challenging.
