Royal St. Cloud Golf Links - Blue/Red Course
About
Royal St. Cloud Golf Links is home to three unique nines, all of which replicate the feel of a classic links course much like the world-famous Old Course at St. Andrews. The Blue/Red golf course features sod bunkers and wood-faced bunkers stacked in true Scottish tradition. In keeping with the links style, there are very few trees throughout Royal St. Cloud Golf Links. The Red nine was enhanced though to make a more player-friendly round. Golfers of any skill level can find their place on the golf course, but be prepared to use every club in your bag. There are also extensive practice facilities including a putting green, short game area with practice bunkers, and a lighted driving range.

Tee time shambles
On arrival we had to wait for a buggy - then at the tee we waited 25mins past our tee time before we could start as a group had been allowed to play that had not booked in all their players and they were also an hour late for the tee times they had booked. No marshal came out till we reached the 17th. Ended up being 6hr round.
The course itself was a nice layout & a pleasant change from the typical Floridian look. The back nine (white) was the prettier 9.
The greens were fast but could have done with a bit of tlc & divot repair.
Great
Great track for the price but very slow pace, no Marshall seen on the course
P l ayed this course a few times. Always a pleasure. Good layout in very good shape. Simply can not go wrong.
Fun course
It’s a fun course with little trouble. I played in winter conditions so the turf was adequate but not lush. They pack in the players but the pace of play was a bit slow. Overall for the price it’s a bargain. It’s links style but it’s not Scotland.
Nice track fair price
You can’t get into much trouble on this course. The overall conditions were fine. The price is ok . Despite it’s advertising it’s not Scotland.
Great course
Awesome 27 hole course the make you feel like you are playing at a different course every time you play a round.
Royal, I think not
Playing in 20+ mile winds was not the issue, being paired with inexperienced golfers who couldn't track shots made for a trying day. Course conditions poor due to current area drought, and high winds contributing to less than ideal conditions. Greens were inconsistent, fairways lacked grass, and while rakes were present on most bunkers they need to add instructions since none were used to rake bunkers. Bunkers looked more like walking paths than hazards. One would only assume those not raking must have thought everything they were waste bunkers and rakes decorations like the out of place British phone booths placed around the course.
Cute non operational pre-owned, golf ball vending machine on short par 3 with severely pitched green was a nice touch, our playing partners hoped it was real to replace the dozen they lost.
Not worth the effort of finding off the beaten path course not far from mouse's house, confident there are better places to spend $90.
Ok course
Course is okay, pro shop staff are nice. Course Marshalls weren't very Informative or welcoming . They spilt a few groups up so they could jump on which slowed down the pace of play.
Course and staff
The staff all friendly and helpful the course was in good shape loved the speed of greens fast and smooth.....I would play again.
We also ate there the bar/restaurant was very good.... food was excellent.
Nice track overall
I like the course and think it’s a good course overall. The greens were a bit rough, but they were pretty fast especially against the grain. The course is pretty wide open most holes with lots of options to bail out if needed.
My biggest issue was pace of play on both nines. We got behind old guys that waited for the green in front of them to clear before teeing off. I also lost my mind waiting for them on the front nine. The back nine had 5 people in one group and only 3 were golfing and all of them looked like beginners. They should have let us pass, but they didn’t.
This place is worth playing, but it could turn into a long day.
I also thought it should have been less than 60 bucks for a Wednesday afternoon, but it was 80 instead.
Immaculate greens and interesting design
I really enjoyed this course and it did not disappoint. Greens were immaculate and were challenging with each one having speed and undulation. The practice green was bare in spots and will be renovated later in the year. I noticed a small pitching area and another practice green on the way to the Blue side. I played the white/blue combo this day and the two nines could not be more different. White was easier with more room in the fairways but tricky if you got on the wrong side of the green or above the hole. Blue nine was tougher but holes 3-6 had huge sand dunes to avoid and challenge off the tee. Also, more water on holes 7-9 which all comes into play. Price point was good to. My only suggestion is to get new carts that are electric. The current carts are aged and noisy when you have that many golfers on the course. Just a suggestion but it did not take away from the enjoyment of the course. Loved the telephone booths on the course too, an ode to UK and links style golf all while in St Cloud.
5 1/2 hour round
fairways too closely mowed, they put way too many golfers on the course.
