Worst Ran Course in TN
Had a tee time at 1:40. When I get there, there is a scramble tournament that just went off at 1:15. The course just squeezed us in between the tournament groups. When we got to the back nine ( after 3 hour front), they were still putting people on the course and having them start on the back nine. This put 3 MORE groups in line ahead of us. FURIOUS! Overall, we teed off at 1:40 and we did not finish until after 7:00. A course just trying to collect a few extra dollars. I will NEVER play this course again. If it was free, I would skip it. These guys have absolutely no idea how to run a course.
Fun course/beautiful layout
This was a fun course to play and I got a great deal on golfnow. Most holes are pretty short but still challenging. You can hit your driver on most par4's. Some big elevation changes on the Par 3's which make it fun. 3 of the tee boxes where under repair but all other holes where playing at regular length. I think they airiated the greens this past Sunday. If you've never played its worth the drive from Nashville. My GPS took me to the wrong place so I recommend calling the pro shop and getting directions. Take 24 toward Clarksville and take exit 35. Turn right and it's about 5.5 miles down on your right.
Great Course
It had rained about 2-3" the night before we played so there was a good deal of casual water on course. Still, very interesting course and we'll definitely go back. Great scenery (very park like) and lots of elevation changes. There were a couple of temporary tee boxes as they're rebuilding a couple of tees -- but not a big deal. Fairways a greens in great shape (even with all the water). Only about a 25 min. drive from downtown Nashville -- definitely worth it!
This course is very enjoyable and scenic.
This course is a lot of fun to play with beautiful scenery. Each hole has something to challenge you, some have water, some have elevation changes, and some have greens tucked out of sight. The course is not long but requires accurate shots.
Good value. Nice conditions
Pebblebrook is a pleasant place to play. Fairways survived the severe winter better than most courses in mid Tennessee. Greens are true, but a bit slow. Tee boxes did not do as well as well as fairways, but are being worked on.
Noice!
Nice course, great value. Many holes are under construction, which a few par 4's play par 3 yardage. No big deal, just worth knowing before you go out. Overall condition was good, some tee boxes needed work also. I would definitely go back.
Great Value for Well Kept Super Scenic Course
First off, it was such a great value for me because I got the "Hot" rate from GolfNow.com. It only cost me $18.00 with tax to play on a Sunday with cart and a bucket of balls included, which is a steal for this course. Now to the course itself, its on the short side so pull your driver at your own risk. If I would have left mine in the bag I probably wouldn't have put my good luck ball in the trees...or the three other balls that were gobbled up by the woods. Seriously though, most mid-handicappers could play this course 3W or 3H - mid-iron to green on every Par 4 and reach the Par 5's with 3W - 5i to green. It's a challenging course, but not overly so...just be mindful of slope, which plays a factor especially on #4. The best part though has to be the scenery...most scenic and relaxing course I've ever played. Staff was okay. They were nice enough but not spectacular and the starter could have done a better job controlling the flow (enforce a 10 - 15 minute gap between group starts already...jeez). Overall it was a great day. I highly recommend this course.
yardage markers
The scenery on this course is beautiful, Sunday afternoon it was not very busy at all, greens and fairways are in very very good condition. Greens are true. Only frustration with this course and what may prevent me from playing it again is there are no 150 yard white and black stakes in the fairway. There are no sprinkler yardage markers either. The only yardage markers are very faint colored lines on the cart path that are hard to see and not always there, and a white circle on the ground at 150 (also very hard to find). I felt that I was in the dark on distance more often than not. Another plus are the two par 3s that are 100 feet down - very fun.
We had fun! Great deal for this course!
The course was in good shape as most courses in Tennessee have suffered winter kill. Pace of play was excellent! Go see for yourself!!
great track
Course is in average condition. Several greens need some maintenance. Overall 4 stars.
What a gem!!!
Several courses in the area are struggling with maintaining their courses. Not this one. The course is in great shape. Very scenic!
Great fairways and greens
Tee boxes really need some work. Looked like bunkers on more than 50% of them.
Pebble Brook--great value for a such a beautiful course
This was my first time playing Pebble Brook. This is a beautiful golf course. It is well worth the drive to Greenbrier to play this course. The drives between holes are so picturesque. The downhill shots are beautiful, but take less club. We are already planning our return to Pebble Brook. Some of the tee boxes are in rough shape, but the fairways and greens are in good condition.
Challenging course
This is a tough course to play not only from a Golf standpoint but from a physical standpoint it is plays very long. Lots of hills and lots of elevated greens. Overall this is a great course to play you should give it a shot
very good course
just nice conditions all things considered--greens great...fairways in good shape ---good diversity of holes ...combines east and west Tennessee in one course
A course that can be played by everyone depending on tees used.
Though this a good value for the money.
Great course! Pretty scenery!
The course is in great shape! The tee boxes were just aerated (which was needed). The greens were in great shape. Rolled very true! If only people knew how to pick their feet up when they walk on the greens.!.!. Fairways are in pretty good shape as well! Kinda slow on the weekends. Play on a sunday and it took 5 hrs (3some). The carts prob take a beating due to the hills.. Overall Great course for the money.
Great conditions for the year
Overall great value considering the condition of the other courses in the area this year. Great little gem of a course north of Nashville.
Overall Great Course
The fairways were thick & well maintained. The greens were excellant. The tee boxes that were not under maintenance were well kept. This is a senic course with plenty of wildlife.
Best Course in the Nashville area!
Today was my first visit to Pebble Brook. I was not disappointed at all! I read the reviews on golfnow and thought I'd give it a try. Well that turned into two trys because I had to play it twice. The staff was top notch and the course followed suit.
Pros: Great course design that truly complimented the natural landscape. The greens were in really good shape and the speed was consistent 1 through 18. The ambiance of the course is magnificent and provides a good time for even a casual rider.
Cons: The driving range could use a false green to shoot at since this course is not long and requires your wedge game to be on point. (Several would be advantageous) A handful of the tee boxes are in really bad shape. This was odd based on the conditions found in every other aspect were phenomenal.
I still give the course 5*'s as it is in way better shape than any other with Bermuda fairways in the area. A previous reviewer complained that yardage wasn't marked. This is untrue. Yardage is marked on the cart path and in the fairways for 250,200,150 & 100. All using traditional coloring. The overall value of this course is second to none. Original tee time was booked on golfnow for a twosome at $49 and the 18 hole replay rate was only $18. That was 36 holes, range balls, and cart for me today for $42.50. I felt like I should have paid that for the first 18 alone.
Definitely give this course a try and be prepared to come back again and again! Bring your camera as many of the views are breathtaking!
Awesome best course for the money
My son and I had a awesome time. If there were more values like this there would be thousands of members with your association. Thanks for the great value, look forward to our next course.
