Pebble Brook--great value for a such a beautiful course
This was my first time playing Pebble Brook. This is a beautiful golf course. It is well worth the drive to Greenbrier to play this course. The drives between holes are so picturesque. The downhill shots are beautiful, but take less club. We are already planning our return to Pebble Brook. Some of the tee boxes are in rough shape, but the fairways and greens are in good condition.
Challenging course
This is a tough course to play not only from a Golf standpoint but from a physical standpoint it is plays very long. Lots of hills and lots of elevated greens. Overall this is a great course to play you should give it a shot
very good course
just nice conditions all things considered--greens great...fairways in good shape ---good diversity of holes ...combines east and west Tennessee in one course
A course that can be played by everyone depending on tees used.
Though this a good value for the money.
Great course! Pretty scenery!
The course is in great shape! The tee boxes were just aerated (which was needed). The greens were in great shape. Rolled very true! If only people knew how to pick their feet up when they walk on the greens.!.!. Fairways are in pretty good shape as well! Kinda slow on the weekends. Play on a sunday and it took 5 hrs (3some). The carts prob take a beating due to the hills.. Overall Great course for the money.
Great conditions for the year
Overall great value considering the condition of the other courses in the area this year. Great little gem of a course north of Nashville.
Overall Great Course
The fairways were thick & well maintained. The greens were excellant. The tee boxes that were not under maintenance were well kept. This is a senic course with plenty of wildlife.
Best Course in the Nashville area!
Today was my first visit to Pebble Brook. I was not disappointed at all! I read the reviews on golfnow and thought I'd give it a try. Well that turned into two trys because I had to play it twice. The staff was top notch and the course followed suit.
Pros: Great course design that truly complimented the natural landscape. The greens were in really good shape and the speed was consistent 1 through 18. The ambiance of the course is magnificent and provides a good time for even a casual rider.
Cons: The driving range could use a false green to shoot at since this course is not long and requires your wedge game to be on point. (Several would be advantageous) A handful of the tee boxes are in really bad shape. This was odd based on the conditions found in every other aspect were phenomenal.
I still give the course 5*'s as it is in way better shape than any other with Bermuda fairways in the area. A previous reviewer complained that yardage wasn't marked. This is untrue. Yardage is marked on the cart path and in the fairways for 250,200,150 & 100. All using traditional coloring. The overall value of this course is second to none. Original tee time was booked on golfnow for a twosome at $49 and the 18 hole replay rate was only $18. That was 36 holes, range balls, and cart for me today for $42.50. I felt like I should have paid that for the first 18 alone.
Definitely give this course a try and be prepared to come back again and again! Bring your camera as many of the views are breathtaking!
Awesome best course for the money
My son and I had a awesome time. If there were more values like this there would be thousands of members with your association. Thanks for the great value, look forward to our next course.
Poorly Marked
My biggest complaint is the fact that we were given a scorecard for a different course. The course is under construction and a lot of holes are not marked. I hate playing a course for the first time and trying to guess distances. Throw that on top of given the wrong score card and you get the idea! Greens very SLOW
Hidden Gem!!
What a Great course! Elevation changes made the course really enjoyable to play. Several blind shots off the tee but to favorable fairways. No hidden surprises and the course is in fantastic shape. Water and sand on many holes, but again, no hidden hazards. Challenging enough for the more advanced golfer but very enjoyable for the high handicapper. Proper shot placement rewards better golfers looking to score well, but bad shots don't result in a lost ball every time! Will definitely play again and again!!
Bang for your Buck
I have been playing this course since the day it opened and consider it to be my home course. Even though I am a senior golfer, I have a decent long game and find the course is a TAD short for me. However, all other aspects of the course are challenging. I recommend this course to anyone even if it is only 6400 yards. Plus, everyone on the staff is friendly and courteous. You cannot go wrong playing Pebble Brook.
Hidden Gem!
I have been playing Peeble Brook since it opened. The fairways and greens are always in great condition. Some unique and challenging
holes you will remember. One of Middle Tennessee best deals for the money.
Awesome course
Nothing bad at all to say, best course in Nashville area.
Course Condition and policy
The fairways were not good. Bare in many locations with dead grass. Greens were good, but sticky slow..they needed to be rolled. Sand traps were dirt traps basically. Also it should be noted that if a child comes out they can not ride on the cart or walk unless they pay to play. This course is all about getting your money. No staff members spoke to you with the exception of they person taking your money and the starter.
Great par 3s
This course has 2 of the most fun par 3s I've ever played. They make the entire course, which is otherwise great, worth the drive.
Great course!
Challenging and scenic! Love this course! Would recommend it to everyone!
It felt great to be playing again.
Being from Wisconsin, I was just extremely happy to be out on the golf course again. It has been a LONG winter. I'm very happy we chose to play this course today. The layout was very nice with a good variety of hole challenges. Although there isn't much sand, there are some holes in which water comes into play. I played red tees because I had my 76 year old mom with me, but I would have preferred to play back to make the round more interesting. My handicap is currently a 9 and I can hit a fairly long ball. I only wish we were here when the grass is green and lush. I can't really speak to the pace of play as we let quite a few groups play through due to my mom's restrictions, but the staff was very patient with us and tried their best to be accommodating. Overall, a very nice day and I would be happy to return.
Really like this course
Course was in good shape, friendly folks at course, will be going back real soon
Good rates and back on GolfNow
Even though on GolfNow, not able to access online tee times. Rushed to get cart. Staff not friendly except at snack bar. Course in ok shape for the time of year.
Longest round of golf ever!
I have played pebblebrook once before and I was excited to go back. We get there as a two-some and I am told that the tee time i booked was not available and my name wasn't on the sheet. The man at the desk then flipped over the sheet and magically there was my name along with several others. "oh you booked online he said"... we will get you in when we can. We hit our bucket and to his credit they got us out on time with another two-some. However, the tee box was stacked, the course was crowded, and we had to wait on every shot. We hit our tee shots on #1 at approx 12:35pm. At around 2pm we reached the #5 tee box only to see a traffic jam of carts on the downhill par 3. Bottom line they let too many golfers out on the course. We made the turn at about 3:45. We saw we were not going to finish and asked if we could play the front 9 again because that was the only way we would finish. They agreed and we finished are round at 5:45pm. No way with 4 fairly quick players should a round ever take 5 hours and 15 minutes! As we were leaving we saw the group that tee'd off 2 groups ahead of us walk off 18. No way we would have finished the round if we hadn't played the front twice. Decent course but left a really bad taste in my mouth so I won't go back unless it is a weekday.
