The Legacy

About
The Legacy Golf Course is one of Robertson County's must-play courses. Opened in 1996, it is not as old as some other courses in the area but the designer, Raymond Floyd, took advantage of the existing mature woodlands spread throughout the lush, rolling hills. At 6,755 yards, the course is seemingly short but it is narrow, and be prepared to face troublesome hazards almost everywhere. It is notorious for making balls from even the most slightly errant shots disappear. It is a tough but fair challenge. The golf course starts with a tricky par 5 with a bunker on the right followed by a par 4 that requires a 200-yard carry or you'll surely be faced with trouble. The back nine at Legacy G.C. is slightly less difficult but there are still plenty of hazards as well as several blind shots.

Rough Shape
Course right now is in rough shape. The greens are being kept up pretty well, but fairways and tee boxes are pretty bad, burned out and hardpan. I suppose the dry summer has something to do with it, but the course is showing other signs of management neglect, non-existent tee boxes, broken up cart paths, weeds. This was my first time playing, and unless management brings back conditions, it will be my last.
SRK
Staff super friendly, great layot, holes were fun with some doglegs some elevation, no 2 holes iwere alike,The tees could use some more water, some were rock hard like you really needed a hammer on some overall a very good experience PS you can lose balls here
Amazing
This place is amazing. The day that we played it had rained all morning however by our 1:30 tee time the course was immaculate. The course offers some unique holes with amazing views. The staff were all up best and friendly. Would highly recommend this course for anyone that’s looking for an exceptional round of golf.
hard summer
played here last on july 4th, course was awesome . summer heat and lack of rain has taken a toll. greens were quite soft and rolled well but rest of course was a rock. burnt out fairways, some tee boxes you couldn’t get a tee in the ground.
will be back but it will be awhile.
Good course that needs some TLC
Overall layout was good and challenging for a bogey golfer. The fairways were burnt up and hadn’t been watered so they were hard pan. Forget getting a tee into the ground on the tee boxes! Trash cans were overflowing and hadn’t been emptied in a while. And ball wash stations were mostly dry. Greens were in pretty good shape, thankfully.
Maybe try this course in the spring before it dries out for the summer.
Decent, but wouldn’t play again
The course was in fair condition for the cost. Fairways were rock hard. Greens were in nice condition. No water refills on the course, and considering it was over 90 degrees when I played, I was quite dehydrated, despite having a 2L water bottle. I live 35 mins from the course and won’t be making that drive again. There a several courses of similar value that are much closer and in better condition.
Nice course but not for the price
Overall a nice layout. Course was in solid condition. Few fairways on the front nine could use some work. Greens overall pretty good. They are making some repairs to the greens that need it.
Carts don’t have GPS though you can generally figure it out especially if you have the Bushnell Golf app.
Nobody driving around the course with beverages, snacks, etc. Also no water to drink anywhere on the course.
Course overall nice. Just wouldn’t pay more than $60-$65 given the overall aspect of everything about the course.
Good for a public course
Staff is always friendly. Greens are soft, and a little slow. Many players dont repair their ball marks, which impacts putting some. Biggest issue is lack of irrigation on tee boxes. Rock hard. Bring a small hammer (not joking).
Fairways are very, very dry as well. The course is fun, but improving irrigation would help.
There is NEVER a marshall on the course, so play can grind to a halt with one or two slow groups ahead.
its a decent public course. Don't expect this be Gaylord or Hemitage, but its much cheaper.
It could be awesome
2nd time I've played here. I did the Member for a day (meal, golf, range balls, fees). FYI, the "meal" is only a hotdog.
The course was in playable shape but that was about it. Greens were scruffed up from play, and very very sanded.
It's a narrow course, so keep 'em in play. A good amount of up and down. They had way way way too many twosomes out and the pace of play was abysmal. We left after nine. The clubhouse is in serious need of rennovation. Nice size patio outside. Staff was great. If I'm going that far from Nolensville I'm going Nashville National.
Mgmt. quit bullying customers
My reservation was for a single. I enjoy meeting new golfers and hook up with them regularly. However, for a reservation for 18 holes that included a cart,I want my own cart ? Was forced by manager to bunk up with a stranger which, typically doesn't work out for 4+ hours. I won't be going back as frequently as I would have. Why be so stupid about treating customers like you're so desperate to save petty amounts of money ?? you lose.......
Everything was great with the exception of pace of play and NO WATER COOLERS on the entire course. It was a hot day and hydration was needed.
Nice course
Fun layout. Greens pretty good. Overall worth the money. Back nine is challenging.
