Lough Erne Resort - Faldo Championship Course

The Faldo course at Lough Erne has to be the nicest course I’ve ever played. Immaculate tee boxes, fairways, and greens. My wife walked off the tee box on hole 1, stepped into the intermediate rough from the cart path and said “wow, these fairways are so nice.” Needless to say, the fairways were even better to play from than the light rough! Beautifully shaped bunkers that are clearly visible from the tee boxes and fairways. Spectacular views of the lake and clubhouse. Dramatic views from the elevated hole 6. Hole 7 is the coolest golf hole I’ve ever played. Most holes felt secluded from the other, with only a few than run parallel. But each hole had its unique character that fit the style of the course perfectly. No hole felt out of place, but rather carefully designed and sculpted. Hats off to the architect. The entire course was like playing in a fairytale. Worth full price, but if you find a hot deal here on GN, do not hesitate!

Tee time 9am we arrived at 8:30 after a 70mile drive to find that the course was closed under review due to frost and wasn’t being reviewed until 11:45

I appreciate why but a phone call or simple email from either the course or golf now to let us know before hand would have been helpful.

Love this place, my Eutopia as far as a golf course goes. Conditions were amazing for February, drainage improvement have worked a treat no plugged balls. Greens were in excellent condition as they always are.

Absolutely stunning course in fantastic condition for January.

The staff are also superb, very helpful and friendly.

What a course, really difficult for a beginner golfer but such an experience to take in the whole course.

An unrivaled landscape for a golf course that offers challenge for all abilities. Considering I payed this course in January after some heavy rain, the tee boxes, fairways and greens were in fantastic condition. Staff were so welcoming and offered advice on how to play and challenge that was appropriate to handicap. I will be back in the summer

Tough and very demanding course with multiple greens surrounded with water. Highly recommend using a buggy as it's a very long, hilly course.

First time I have played this course and after a 100 mile drive tp get there our 4 ball was really looking forward to getting started.

The course is challenging.,albeit the greens were a bit of a disappointment,however the surrounding views and vistas are spectacular.

The major let down for me was the number of times we were bumped by members who said they had priority to play through,maybe that is the rule at this course but it was not explained to us at check-in and did affect our overall experience- for that reason I dont think I will be back
