About
The player-friendly Blackstone Golf Course boasts a reputation of being an excellent course for families. The gently undulating landscape is approachable to beginners while still providing a fair amount of challenge. The rolling terrain requires accuracy but most holes allow for short irons if you're willing to risk hitting your ball into the treetops. There is a stream that meanders through the golf course, coming into play on a number of holes. It also crosses through Blackstone's driving range. Strategically placed bunkers are also scattered throughout. The greens are in excellent condition, providing great putting surfaces. Blackstone Golf Course has garnered a local following because of its playability, which is helped by three sets of tees, and extremely reasonable rates. It's an excellent location for a casual round.

Better greens than all courses in Destin and Ft Walton.
Super greens
Narrow fairways but the best greens in the Panhandle.
Great greens
Some of the fairways are in really rough shape. Should be roped off to be ground under repair. Not enough sand in the bunkers.
Love this golf course
First time playing since my spinal ablation two weeks ago. I could not play past nine because of pain. I asked the staff member if I could get a credit for 2 for 9 holes as my wife was playing with me. I was very disappointed that nothing could be done. In the past they have helped me with medical situations in the past.

The staff was very friendly. The course has a beautiful layout and the greens were very good, fairways were tough, but normal for this time of year. Overall great track, especially for the price.
Greens!
We have been traveling the country since October...Best Greens to date...Blackstone is a hidden gem that we found and have played twice now! Highly recommend this course and will stop in and play every time we are in the area. Great job course maintenance team!

challenging
Blackstone has 6 very difficult, steeply sloped holes - interesting, but almost too much slope. The rest of the course is quite enjoyable, a good layout and playable from your correct tees. The greens were nearly perfect! Some of the fairways were a little bare and sandy in areas so we just moved the ball to a grassier area. If you like a challenge and don't mind a few 8's on your card, it is well worth playing this course.
Greens are great, fairways not so much.
But considering it’s off season (January) the course played ok. It was a nice day and we had a lot of fun. There wasn’t anyone ahead of us so they let us go off early. But the young man at the check-in counter was pretty upset about us using GolfNow, and not very respectful…He was like 30 years old and we are like 70 years old. I guess for the price I didn’t expect a very congenial host at the check-in, haha! But this guy seemed almost trying to be a jerk. Oh well, there was a young lady there, and she was very nice.

A scenic course with some challenging holes. We played in early February so fairway grass is just coming out of dormant stage. Greens were immaculate. Staff is excellent.
